Parking Pros Collaborate to Build Extensive Professional Development Program

Washington, DC (April 18, 2016)—The National Parking Association (NPA) recently announced the formation of the NPA National Education Committee. The members of the NPA National Education Committee serve as subject advisors, training, human resources and matter experts on parking, transportation, technology and business. The NPA National Education Committee supports NPA’s education strategy and provides insight on topics important to the parking community, identifies knowledge gaps and steers the association’s professional development programming.

Since its inception, the Committee launched NPA’s first online certificate, focusing on human resources and is preparing to release the second on safety and security this spring. A third addressing emergency preparedness is in development for this summer. The Committee also played an integral role in planning the education program for the NPA 2016 Convention and Expo, being held September 19–22 in Atlanta, GA.

The committee is comprised of professionals from various sectors of the parking industry, holding myriad professional credentials. Each member, listed below, brings unique expertise and parking knowledge to the committee:

NPA’s comprehensive education program includes both in-person and online experiences. This month it will launch the first of several certificate programs focusing on human resources.
