Lehigh University Debuts Parking App on Campus

New Passport Parking App Available for Fall Semester

Bethlehem, PA – The latest way to pay for parking at Lehigh University is right from your phone.

The University has introduced Passport, a new mobile app that allows students, faculty, and visitors to pay for parking from the convenience of their phones. Passport is the industry’s leading mobile parking app company, servicing over 2,000 locations across North America.

Passport powers the parking apps for large cities like Boston, Chicago, Toronto, and Detroit. Passport’s solutions are also available on university campuses nationwide including North Carolina State University, Oregon State University, Michigan State University, and the University of Florida.

Sharon Field, Manager of Parking Services, explains, “Lehigh University is committed to providing our students, faculty, and visitors with the most sophisticated parking software in the industry. Passport’s parking app will give our drivers exciting new options for purchasing and monitoring their parking, all of which are flexible to their needs. Many times, the line at the University Center is longer than anticipated, your professor has additional information you don’t want to miss out on, or your meeting is running longer than scheduled. The app will send you a push notification 10 minutes before your time expires and will give you the ability to extend your time without leaving your seat! No more ‘expired meter’ tickets!”

The new app allows drivers to easily pay for metered parking using a debit/credit card, monitor their session, and extend their parking remotely. Users can even access all parking history within the app.

Passport is now available in select locations throughout campus, which are designated by Passport signage. Users will either enter zone number 1011, 4310, or 9500, depending on their parking location.

The PassportParking app is free to download from the iPhone App Store and Android Google Play. Users can also manage their parking online at ppprk.com.
