Passport Mobile App Officially Launches in Wellesley

Parking can now be paid by smartphone

Wellesley, MA – Last month, the Town announced plans to launch a smartphone application that gives residents and visitors the ability to pay for parking from their phone. PassportParking, the chosen mobile payment app, is now live in the Town.

Wellesley is also offering a resident rate of 50% off in All Day Parking locations to coincide with the launch.

Drivers can now download the PassportParking app and pay for metered parking securely by simply adding a debit or credit card. With the PassportParking app, customers can:

  • Search for parking
  • Pay securely through the app or mobile web
  • Monitor parking sessions
  • Receive alerts
  • Extend parking from the app (up to the maximum allotted time)
  • View parking history

PassportParking is available for free from the iPhone App Store and Android Google Play. Customers can also manage their parking online at ppprk.com.

In addition to PassportParking, parkers will also be able to use ParkBoston, the widely popular app for the City of Boston.

The app will be available in metered locations that have the PassportParking signage, including the streets of Church, Central, Cross, Abbott, Grove, and Washington and in municipal lots located at Tailby, Reston, Waban, and Cameron.
