Parking and Access Revenue Control contract
June 13, 2017 – Winnipeg, Manitoba – Amano McGann Canada and MG Electrical/Mechanical Services Ltd have been contracted to provide the Parking Access and Revenue Control System (PARCS) at Misericordia Health Centre. Amano McGann is excited to announce that this will be the first Overture® installation in Canada.

The Overture line of PARCS equipment will be installed in their visitor parkade. This efficient, automated parking management solution uses linear barcode technology and offers a sleek, attractive aesthetic to Misericordia’s new garage. The entry, exit and pay-on-foot stations will accept EMV credit card payment and use Point to Point Encryption (P2PE) which enhances payment security on site.
Misericordia Health Centre will also take advantage of Near Field Communications (NFC) technology. Patrons will be able to use their smartphones for payment through contactless transactions. After inserting their ticket into the exit terminal, the patron will present their phone to the NFC reader. The reader will automatically communicate with the phone to collect parking fees. This secure payment method increases throughput in the exit lane and offers the patron more ways to pay.
MG Electrical/Mechanical Services Ltd will begin the installation in June/July, 2017. Completion of the installation is expected to be reached by July 2017 and will be the flagship installation for the Overture® product line.
