Beam Global Launches 160 mph Wind-Rated EV ARC™ Sustainable EV Charging Infrastructure Products

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 29, 2023 — Beam Global, (Nasdaq: BEEM, BEEMW), the leading provider of innovative sustainable products and technologies for electric vehicle (EV) charging, energy storage, energy security and outdoor media, today announced its third generation EV ARC™ product line of solar-powered EV charging systems with a wind rating upgraded to 160 mph. EV ARC™ infrastructure systems are designated by the federal General Services Administration (GSA) as disaster preparedness response and recovery products due to energy security and resiliency capabilities during grid outages and natural or man-made disasters.

Beam EV ARC™ systems are independently rated to withstand winds of 160 mph and can continue to operate in up to 9.5 feet of flooding. Each system generates, stores and delivers its own clean electricity and can be equipped with any quality brand EV charger, and an optional Emergency Power Panel which provides 120v and 240v outlets for use by first responders or other authorized users when utility power is not available. Earlier this year, EV ARC™ systems in Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas, which were in the direct path of Hurricane Idalia, continued to provide vital EV charging and emergency power throughout the storm.

“Beam’s mission-driven culture goes beyond sustainable EV charging and energy storage to address the global problem of energy resilience faced by electric grids worldwide,” said Desmond Wheatley, CEO of Beam Global. “We believe 25% of EV charging infrastructure should be off-grid and powered by locally generated and stored electricity so that we can ensure that we have redundant sources of fuel during the rapid transition to electrified transportation and growing threats from climate change and other externalities which can put our centralized grid infrastructure at risk. The United States has a Strategic Petroleum Reserve to ensure that we do not run out of diesel or gasoline. Now Beam Global’s products are providing the beginnings of a Strategic Electric Reserve so that we have the same level of security as we transition to the electrification of everything.”

According to Climate Central U.S. data analysis, about 83% of all reported power outages from 2000-2021 can be attributed to weather-related events, with the most recent decade from 2011-2021 experiencing 64% more major power outages than the previous decade, with an estimated $150B-$200B in costs to U.S. business every year.

GSA’s Disaster Purchasing Program expands purchasing beyond federal agencies and allows state and local governments to buy directly from GSA Schedules to facilitate disaster preparation, response or major disaster recovery. Available now, the next gen Beam products can be purchased by local, state and federal agencies off GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) Contract Number 47QSWA21D0006 which simplifies the procurement process and ensures best pricing. Small, medium and large businesses can purchase the same disaster-rated products directly from Beam Global at BeamTeam@BeamForAll.com.

INAUGURAL USA STREET FOOD AWARDS TO TAKE PLACE AT 2023 LOS ANGELES AUTO SHOW®: THE ULTIMATE CULINARY SHOWDOWN

September 28, 2023

INAUGURAL USA STREET FOOD AWARDS TO TAKE PLACE AT 2023 LOS ANGELES AUTO SHOW®: THE ULTIMATE CULINARY SHOWDOWN

New Street Foods Competition kicks off at LA Auto Show on November 18-19, with complimentary access included for Auto Show ticket holders

LOS ANGELES (September 28, 2023) – The Los Angeles Auto Show® is delighted to host a new taste bud revolution when the USA Street Food Awards (usastreetfoodawards.com) makes its grand debut in North America. Set to kick-off November 18-19 at the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show, the culinary event will celebrate the finest street food vendors in Los Angeles – the city that helped kick-start the food truck revolution!

Against LA’s vibrant backdrop, the first round in a nationwide hunt for North America’s first ever USA Street Food Champion will take place at the LA Auto Show. Founded in 2010 by the British broadcaster Richard Johnson, the awards have grown into an international sensation, currently taking place in 16 European countries and now making its debut in LA.

“Serving food on the streets of urban areas is a tradition that has been around for millennia, and today it’s what often connects thousands of Los Angeles commuters and pedestrians to the wonderfully diverse offerings of the world’s signature flavors. And with the rich history of street food in our city, it was a natural choice for us to host the first USA Street Food Awards, celebrating the link to the car culture capital of the world,” said Terri Toennies, President of LA Auto Show.

As every Angelino knows, food truck culture is a vibrant, dynamic facet of the city’s culinary scene, reflecting its diverse demographics and pioneering spirit. Historically rooted in the mobile taco trucks catering to late-night workers, the movement gained huge popularity more than 20 years ago, leading to the emergence of gourmet trucks serving a wide variety of flavors. The phenomenon has democratized gourmet food, making it accessible and affordable to everybody while providing chefs with a unique platform to experiment with fusion dishes and innovative flavors. As a result, the culture has grown, sprouting trucks to satisfy every craving, from vegan and organic to global cuisine, showcasing LA’s diverse culinary and ethnic landscape.

One of the primary attractions of the Street Food Awards is that visitors are able to eat, drink and vote their way around the competing food vendors. The awards are also judged by a panel of culinary experts, with each dish evaluated on taste, creativity, and presentation. The participants are invited to share the unique story behind their culinary journey, celebrating the mouthwatering flavors and highlight both the cultural significance and heritage behind each dish, which began on the streets of LA for many competitors.

The LA Auto Show®, one of the most influential and well-attended auto shows in the world, will provide the setting for the event. Annually drawing hundreds of thousands of auto aficionados from more than 50 different countries, the Street Food Awards will take place in tandem with the Auto Show on its first weekend, helping to feed and inspire the LA community of foodies and fervent car fans.

The Street Food Awards will then move across the United States, allowing food vendors in different cities to battle it out, with winners from each city heat competing for People’s Choice and Judges’ Favorite at the final round back in Los Angeles in November 2024 in the USA Street Foods Champion Cook-off. The events will continue throughout 2024, including Austin and New York. Other cities may be added throughout the year.

“My dream – when I launched the British Street Food Awards back in 2010 – was to bring this competition to the US. My first encounter with food trucks in America was what inspired me in the first place. So to finally celebrate the best US food trucks, and a whole way of eating that cities from coast to coast have gifted to the world, is a very special feeling,” said Richard Johnson.

This event will be co-hosted by Food Fleet, one of the premier mobile food solutions companies in the country. Founded by chef Jeff Mora, Food Fleet provides support for events of all sizes, including the LA Auto Show itself, ensuring visitors are served fresh, tasty food during the busiest days.

Visitors purchasing tickets to the LA Auto Show on November 18-19 will automatically be entitled to enter the Street Food Awards, taking place on the campus of the LA Convention Center. People wishing to only attend the Street Food Awards are able to purchase separate $5 tickets using the information below.

Visitors to the Street Food Awards will be able to purchase the food items being judged from each vendor. Sample packs can also be purchased for $20. The packs entitle attendees to obtain samples from three vendors and any number of sample packs can be purchased. A percentage of each sample pack purchase will go towards two organizations being supported by the Street Food Awards. These include Wave Foundation (thewavenw.org), which supports sustainable, equitable and resilient food systems, and Streets International (streetsinternational.org), a social enterprise providing culinary training to at-risk youth. Please visit usastreetfoodawards.com for the most up-to-date information.

Blink Charging Selected by Jon Henry General Store to Supply EV Charging Solutions at Historic Location in New Market, Virginia

Blink Charging Selected by Jon Henry General Store to Supply EV Charging Solutions at Historic Location in New Market, Virginia

Electric vehicle drivers will be able to charge up on the new Blink chargers and enjoy Jon Henry’s farmer’s market at a ribbon cutting event on September 27, 2023.

Miami Beach, Fla., Sept. 27, 2023  — Blink Charging Co.(NASDAQ: BLNK) (“Blink” or the “Company”), a leading global manufacturer, owner, operator and provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment and services, announced today that the Company will be installing six Level 2 (L2) chargers at Jon Henry’s General Store in New Market, Va. A ribbon cutting event will mark the installation on September 27, 2023, from 4 – 5 p.m. EST at Jon Henry’s General Store at 9383 N. Congress St. in New Market, Va.

The installation of three Blink IQ 200 Advanced chargers and three Blink IQ 200 Smart chargers at Jon Henry’s General Store reinforces Blink’s commitment to the Mid-Atlantic Electrification Partnership (MAEP). The Mid-Atlantic Electrification Partnership is focused on creating a regional EV ecosystem in Virginia, West Virginia, Washington D.C., and Maryland to connect the Mid-Atlantic Region’s cities. This will enable the utilization of all sizes of EVs (light, medium and heavy duty) for fleets, transportation network companies, and consumers alike. Blink’s ongoing collaboration with MAEP involves the deployment of a total of 200 networked 19.2kWh L2 chargers in the region through 2024.

“The Mid-Atlantic region’s transportation will be electrified through community-centric charging stations,” said Jim Nemec, Chief Revenue Officer for Blink Charging. “Our work with Jon Henry’s General Store is a perfect example of meeting EV drivers where they are with targeted charging convenience. We look forward to electrifying New Market and bringing the future of transportation to a historic location.”

Jon Henry’s General Store opened in 2018 in Virginia’s New Market district. The general store made its home in New Market’s oldest building, acquired the adjacent Weaver Hotel property, and is now complementing both with the latest in EV charging technology. The collaboration between Blink Charging and Jon Henry’s General Store marks an intersection of tradition and innovation. Known for their emphasis on Fair Trade, working locally with over 200 farmers, growers, bakers, and locals to keep stocked locally, Jon Henry’s General Store is focused on making positive community impacts and building connections – in line with Blink Charging’s mission to do its part in slowing climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions caused by transportation.

“We are excited to offer another amenity to our customers and community. It’s exciting to see folks stopping in our town to explore while their car charges,” said Jon Henry, Owner of Jon Henry General Store. “We’ve received positive feedback from our guests that the Weaver Hotel rooms are booked specifically for the chargers. We found working with Blink to be a great experience and easy to integrate into our footprint in noninvasive ways.”

The installation of Blink chargers at Jon Henry’s General Store is the latest installation made by Blink under the Mid-Atlantic Electrification Partnership. Blink has placed Level 2 (L2) charging stations across six hotel locations in Virginia, Washington D.C., and Maryland. L2 charging stations are well-suited for EV drivers to charge their vehicles while visiting retail, entertainment, and travel destinations. Blink and Jon Henry’s General Store are able to lead and innovate within their industries by making EV charging as convenient and accessible as possible.

Today’s announcement follows Blink’s Q2 2023 earnings release, the strongest in Company history, which saw total revenues increase to nearly $33 million for the quarter. Blink also announced it raised its 2023 revenue target from $100 – $110 million to $110 – $120 million and is targeting a positive adjusted EBITDA break-even run rate by December 2024. Blink’s growth is notable, as it places the Company among the relatively few U.S. companies that have adopted a vertically integrated approach to electric vehicle (EV) charging. Blink not only manufactures and sells charging equipment but also operates a network of chargers connected to its infrastructure.

September 26, 2023

Tracked Machines North America, Inc. Announces the Release of the CarMover XL, the Most Technologically Advanced Automotive Equipment for Automotive Industry for Automotive Dealerships, Repair Facilities, Collision Centers, Parking Companies, Etc.

ATLANTA, Sept. 25, 2023  — Tracked Machines North America, Inc., is proud to announce the North American Release of the CarMoverXL into the North American Automotive Industry. The CarMover has been named the “The most Technological Advancement in made in the Automotive Industry!” No other equipment available has the capability to do this in this manner with ease.

The CarMoverXL, is operated by lithium-batteries and the machine maneuvers under a vehicle and picks a vehicle up by all four-wheels and then moves and transports the vehicle from one area to another. Outside to Inside a mechanic’s work area or from one parking spot to another.

This equipment is designed to be used by automobile dealers and repair service centers and body shops that have disabled or wrecked vehicles that need to be moved. The CarMoverXL has the ability to pick-up the heavy weighted EV’s and able to stretch-out to handle the long length of the most vehicles.

The Tracked Machines offers the CarMoverXL to Automotive Industry that helps move disable vehicles without having to touch the vehicle or the need of entry and keys.

The CarMoverXL® is new cutting-edge technology that brings a simple solution to complex problems related to fragile vehicle components and excessive vehicle weight. This machine solves the international problems associated with towing and transporting European Vehicles and Electric Vehicles (EV’s).

EV’s do not roll because they have no ability to shift into neutral and most often do not have winch-cable connection points that allow it to be pulled onto a flatbed. European vehicle undercarriages are made of soft-aluminum or magnesium alloy metals that easily bend the vehicle frame and EV’s possess lithium batteries that a wheel-lift wrecker cannot be used due to the damage they cause vehicle damages and EV thermal runaway fires have become such a major issue with the Automobile Industry.

The CarMoverXL® is the first electric machine designed to pick up vehicles by all four wheels. It is adaptable to meet all different vehicle sizes that are disabled on flat-paved surfaces. The machine is operated by lithium batteries and very user-friendly. This equipment is designed to pick up heavy electric vehicles or long wheel-base vehicles located on hard, flat surfaces like parking lots, inside repair facilities, warehouses, and body shops with cement or resin floors. The machine can maneuver vehicles in and out of tight areas or workspaces. Because it is electric, it does not emit exhaust or fumes, so it can conveniently be used indoors in body shops and warehouses.

Equally impressive, both the TowTrack® and the CarMover XL® can transport disabled vehicles up to 2.5 tons/2,500 kilograms without the need for keys or vehicle entry.

Tracked Machines North America, Inc. in Atlanta Georgia is the North America Distributor of the TowTrack, TowTrackXL, CarMoverXL and the Erclues Tracked Forklift. These machines are that is manufactured in Verona Italy. The TowTrack and CarMoverXL will be showcased at the 2023 SEMA Automotive Show in Las Vegas from October 31 to November 3, 2023. The TowTrack and CarMoverXL Machines are the “Most Technologically Advanced Automotive Equipment in the World!” and will change the Automotive Industry by solving the movement issues that plague the EV movement issues experienced by dealerships and repair facilities.

Parking Vet Writes Another Book from Behind the Scenes of a Parking Authority!

Following his successful and groundbreaking first book, which is commonly described as “a parking -cult classic memoir”, The Quirky World of Parking, Larry J. Cohen, CAPP, a certified parking professional (yes, there is such athing) and 40-year veteran of the industry, has unearthed even more outrageous and crazy stories. Among the many stories:

  • You will findout why Cohen was featured on the HBO show, How to with John
  • Is there really a meter fairy?
  • The partnership between pickle ball and parking
  • Who is the three-finger man?

The book is loaded with tons of interesting and crazy stories in this $100 billion a year industry.

As Cohen says, “My goal is to provide a fascinating look into the business of parking from an industry insider perspective and share the many crazy, funny and sad encounters we deal with every day,”

When you drive your car and have trouble finding a space, or hate paying for parking, or get a parking ticket, or worseyet, towed, this quirky – as the title says – book on parking will give you a whole new perspective on something you probablycan’t live without, but know very little about.

Cohen’s been responsible for parking at universities, hospitals, and municipalities during his long career in major cities along the East Coast. He has served on the Boards of the International Parking and Mobility Institute, Middle AtlanticParking Association, and Pennsylvania Parking Association and is currently the Executive Director of the Lancaster ParkingAuthority in bucolic Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Parkopedia and Blink Charging work together to make seamless EV charging accessible to more North American drivers

September 22, 2023

Parkopedia and Blink Charging work together to make seamless EV charging accessible to more North American drivers

  • Collaboration sees Parkopedia adding nearly 12,000 Blink public chargers to its in-car EV service
  • Parkopedia grows its global network of charger locations, while Blink services are delivered directly to EV drivers, with charger locations being visible from vehicle head units
  • This cooperation provides US drivers with a seamless charging experience across a greater number of chargers and facilitates the collection of new charging data, enabling Parkopedia to provide more accurate charger availability predictions to drivers

22 September 2023 – London, UK / Florida, USA

Connected car service provider Parkopedia and one of the largest Charge Point Operators (CPO) in the US, Blink Charging, are working together to provide EV drivers with an improved charging experience. Parkopedia users are now able to access nearly 12,000 Blink public chargers across more than 4,000 US locations, directly through their vehicle head units, providing EV drivers with the greatest possible convenience and charger visibility.

This agreement further increases Parkopedia’s presence in the North American market, with the company expanding its ‘Park and Charge’ EV service for its various automaker customers. Additionally, the service gains ‘live’ availability data from Blink’s network of chargers, enabling the company to provide drivers with increasingly accurate parking and charging availability predictions, as part of a more complete EV charging experience.

This addresses US EV drivers’ most significant concerns, cited in the 2023 Global Driver Survey, including nearly 60% being concerned about finding charging away from home and more than 1 in 3 drivers struggling to find EV public charging locations “all the time” or “very frequently” – both higher figures than any other featured country in thesurvey. Furthermore, 53% of US EV drivers shared they have been unable to charge when needed previously due to chargers being occupied by other vehicles on arrival.

More concerningly, 73% of American EV drivers have run out of charge before – again more than drivers in any other country surveyed. As a result, 92% of US drivers would be more likely to purchase an EV if it had ‘Park and Charge’ functionality to simplify the process of finding suitable charging. These survey figures highlight the value of providing seamless charging experiences to American drivers, helping more drivers transition to EVs and reducing charging anxiety by preventing them from running out of charge or failing to locate suitable chargers while travelling.

Parkopedia regularly validates parking and charging data to ensure that accuracy is as high as possible, with ‘dynamic data’ helping to provide drivers with valuable parking and charging predictions for when spaces orcharging stations are most likely available. Parkopedia and Blink are exploring the scope of the collaboration to provide even more solutions in future, with the ambition of further streamlining the process of parking and charging for EV drivers.

Commenting on the new agreement, Adam Woolway, Head of EV at Parkopedia, said: “We recognise that parking and charging are increasingly interlinked and we are continuing to simplify the charging experience for EV drivers,as seen in this new collaboration with Blink. We also recognise the significant challenges facing US EV drivers in particular, highlighted in our 2023 Global Driver Survey with the US topping the table for the majority of charging-related issues – from failing to find chargers to running out of charge. We strongly believe that our connected car services and new integration with Blink will further support drivers and help prevent them from experiencing such issues in the future.”

“Our collaboration with Parkopedia creates a streamlined experience for EV drivers to conveniently access Blink charging stations across North America,” said Mike Battaglia, Chief Revenue Officer for Blink Charging. “The combination of Parkopedia’s excellence in serving drivers through convenience in parking accessibility and Blink’s extensive range of public EV chargers gives EV drivers confidence in finding a reliable charging experience wherever they are. This initiative builds upon our strategy of making it easy for EV drivers to locate Blink chargers through a variety of platforms.”

ParkMobile: U.S. Drivers are Eager for a Mobile Payment Solution for Parking to Reduce Driving-Related Stress

September 22, 2023

U.S. Drivers are Eager for a Mobile Payment Solution for Parking to Reduce Driving-Related Stress

According to a survey conducted by the most used parking app in the U.S., ParkMobile, over 74 percent of U.S. drivers desire a smart parking payment experience

Atlanta, GA – – ParkMobile, the most used parking app in the U.S. and part of the EasyPark Group, conducted a survey tracking the parking habits and trends of U.S. drivers. According to the study, 82 percent of drivers across the U.S. note that searching for a parking space is a top stressor when driving in urban environments. Though, of the drivers using parking apps such as ParkMobile to find and pay for parking, drivers’ stress levels drop by nearly 33 percent.

The study found that concerns of paying for parking, including searching for ticket locations when using parking kiosks or meters, are drastically reduced through the integration of mobile payment apps and providers. ParkMobile is expanding its footprint and providing solutions that help drivers find and reserve parking in advance via the reservations platform to create an easier parking experience to meet the demand of the 74 percent of drivers craving the availability of a mobile parking payment solution.

“Searching for parking in dense downtown ecosystems is not only harmful for the environment through increased carbon dioxide emissions but stressful and will ultimately tamper the way drivers view and interact with their cities in the future,” said David Hoyt, managing director of ParkMobile. “Through the integration and adoption of ParkMobile, we’re making cities more livable through our easy-to-use mobile parking solution, so downtowns thrive and residents and visitors feel stress free.”

The report also found that around 80 percent of respondents find it important to be able to use the same parking app across multiple locations and states. Despite this, around 30 percent of respondents are unable to use their preferred mobile payment app for parking across the country as the apps are not always accepted at their parking location. The lack of choice and availability has resulted in many drivers having three or more parking apps installed on their mobile devices to pay for parking in the U.S.

“As part of EasyPark Group, ParkMobile is working to adopt an open market solution, a process that our company has integrated in key cities across Europe. The solution allows for multiple app-based parking providers to be offered in a city, making parking more straightforward while fostering parking technology innovation and placing consumer choice as the top priority. An open market parking model is a key contributor to digital adoption and can drive mobile pay adoption to over 90 percent in cities where it is implemented,” said Hoyt.

Since being founded in 2008, ParkMobile has processed over 98 billion minutes of parking in North America. ParkMobile works with cities to provide real time parking data and trends to better plan their urban design. This includes some of the two million parking spaces across the country, in over 600 cities and municipalities and 140 colleges and universities.

The study was conducted by ParkMobile with over 3,000 respondents located across the U.S. Respondents included drivers aged 16-75 as a representative sample of over 261 million monthly parkers in the country.
