Parkeon Successfully Launches Mobile Parking Service In The United States
Moorestown, NJ, September 17, 2014 – Parkeon, a global leader in urban mobility solutions for the parking and transit industries has announced that it has successfully launched its mobile parking service in the United States. The service, named Whoosh!, made its US debut in Syracuse, NY on August 19, 2014. Whoosh! was already in operation in over 50 sites in France and the United Kingdom.
Whoosh! allows users to pay for their parking time through their phones, tablets, or their computers. The Whoosh! app is available on the App Store and Google Play Store. The service can also be accessed through www.whooshstore.com. Whooshers can receive a time expiration notification and extend their time remotely to avoid receiving a parking citation.
Whoosh! features a very friendly user interface with multiple options to select a meter or zone. Whooshers can make their selection through a map view or list view, both linked to the GPS coordinates of the meters in the local area. Meter/zone selection can also be made via manual input of the meter or zone code.
Whoosh! is a standalone system, available to Parkeon customers already utilizing the company’s multi-space parking meters as well as to non-Parkeon customers that utilize other metered parking systems.
A key benefit to existing Parkeon clients is that the Whoosh! system is fully integrated into Parkeon’s myParkfolio back-office parking management system for both financial reporting and enforcement. This saves clients a lot of time by having all their data in one system.
