Sioux Corporation Quality Management System Becomes ISO Certified
December, 2014 – Sioux Corporation is proud to announce their Quality Management System is now certified to ISO 9001:2008 standards. Quality and reliability are hallmarks of Sioux equipment, and Sioux began implementing changes to meet ISO standards in early 2014.
The certified Quality Management System includes logging any nonconformance or customer concern with weekly management team review of these logs. Sioux is also routinely performing internal audits of all departments including receiving, fabrication, welding, paint, assembly, testing, packaging, engineering, sales, purchasing, HR, and management. These new activities put systems in place to ensure customers of Sioux have a voice in Sioux operations and receive high-quality products with satisfying experiences.
Brad Hyronimus, Sioux’s Engineering Manager states, “Achieving ISO 9001:2008 has advanced our quality management system, and will continue to do so as we move forward. The internal improvements that we have implemented and the continuous improvements that we will incorporate will help our company immensely. If a problem arises we log the issue, meet with the correct parties, determine the root cause and resolve the problem. The procedures that we have created add discipline and assist us in training new employees. The customer-concerns log ensures we are solving the problems identified by our customers.”
