Parkmobile, LLC to donate 25% of transaction fees from Parkmobile app to Penn State
Dance Marathon Atlanta, GA – February 3, 2015 – Parkmobile, LLC is proud to announce that we will contribute a portion of our parking fees to the Penn State Dance Marathon (THON). The mission of the 46-hour Marathon is not only to raise money for the Four Diamonds fund at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital, but also to provide support to the families in the fight against pediatric cancer. Four Diamonds, which symbolizes Courage, Wisdom, Honesty and Strength, helps families by offsetting the cost of treatment when insurance can no longer cover, allowing them to focus more on the care for their child
“Parkmobile donating 25% of their transaction fees from February 1 until Saturday of THON Weekend engages the community in giving back and supporting THON at their own convenience,” remarks Aly Young, Public Relations Director, THON 2015. “It provides an opportunity for all residents to contribute to our efforts through something they do on a daily basis, which is unique. We are grateful for the support of Parkmobile as we conclude our year-long fundraising efforts for THON 2015!”
Beginning on February 1 and culminating the weekend of the Marathon on February 21, 25% of all parking transaction fees made in The Borough of State College through the Parkmobile app will be donated to the Four Diamonds fund in an effort to conquer childhood cancer. So far, since starting in 1977, THON has raised over $114 million, and Parkmobile is extremely honored to be a part of the fight against childhood cancer.
“Parkmobile is pleased to join the Borough of State College, the Penn State Community, and especially the THON dancers in their fight against pediatric cancer. We hope that one day we all dance in celebration but until then we will dance for a cure,” notes Charley DeBow, VP of Parkmobile, Penn State Alumni, and former State College Borough Parking Manager.
