Brooks Ellis & Adam Martinez of Towne Park Lead NPA National Convention in 2015
Convention theme focuses on the people who make up the industry
Washington, DC (June 24, 2015)—Brooks Ellis, vice president of operations, and Adam Martinez, district manager, of Towne Park (Annapolis, MD) are leading the planning efforts of the NPA 2015 Convention & Expo taking place at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, August 31–September 3.
“Ellis and Martinez bring not only knowledge of the industry to the Convention Program Planning Committee, but also a deep desire to build on the growing success of NPA’s Annual Convention & Expo to help strengthen the parking industry,” said Christine Banning, NPA president.
“As an attendee of NPA conventions through the years, I have learned a great deal that has propelled me forward in my career,” explained Ellis. “I enthusiastically welcomed the opportunity to support in the role of co-chair as an opportunity to give back to an organization that has supported my professional development in many ways,” he continued.
This year’s theme, People, Progress & Performance, embodies the fundamentals of the parking industry: parking takes place when people drive cars, and the industry is built around people providing a necessary customer service. The 2015 Convention will tackle people-focused topics, including how parking employees make parking businesses successful. Specifically, attendees will learn how to hire and train employees well to build a successful long-term team.
As part of its 2015 Convention, NPA will connect parking pros with the best parking companies in the business in its first annual career fair held in the expo hall, Tuesday–Thursday, September 1–3. Employers will have the opportunity to get in front of NPA members, attendees, recent hospitality graduates, Wounded Warriors and other candidates to fill front line management positions. Job seekers will be given free access to the expo hall to meet with employers and snag private on-site interviews.
