Cale America Launches New Savannah Center for Online Services
SAVANNAH, GA, June 26, 2015 – The parking management industry is changing, and so is one of its largest technology providers, Cale America Inc. The Tampa-based firm, which is the largest subsidiary of Sweden’s Cale Group of companies, announced a strategy this week to provide a dedicated North American resource center which will focus on the development, support and training for its online reporting service, Cale WebOffice or “CWO,” and its mobile payment platform, WayToPark, for Cale’s base of more than 200 municipalities, college campuses, state and county parks systems, and parking operators in the United States and Canada.
“Historically, we have been a leading parking meter company with a great web-based management system. Today, our WebOffice management service has become the backbone of major parking operations in cities around the country,” said Noah Cruzan, Customer Service Director for Cale America. “Savannah will be our hub for our online products and services and for supporting this growing and important part of our business.” The new Savannah office will work closely with Cale’s IT and datacenter groups in Montreal, Quebec as well as their international development team in Kista, Sweden near Stockholm.
Cale’s second-generation WebOffice management tool works with any modern web browser and allows city and campus parking departments, as well as parking management companies, to remotely monitor meter and mobile payment systems with modules for analysis, enforcement, meter and space mapping, electronic parking permits and unified tariff configuration management for meter and mobile payments. Cale’s WayToPark mobile app was first launched in Scandinavia in 2012 and in the US market last year. The service allows customers to download an app for Android or Apple devices and purchase and manage their parking sessions from their mobile device.
Andreas Jansson, Managing Director for Cale America, said that the new Savannah office will also be responsible for product training, product management and demonstrations, large account support, marketing and business development, database integrations and Cale’s contract administration. “The key focus will be to ensure that our customers have the support and resources they need as our industry shifts from traditional parking meter systems to more dynamic programs with mobile payments and online services,” explained Jansson. “We are working more and more as an international team to develop high-tech solutions for our North American customers, and the new Savannah center is a key part of that strategy.”
“We are excited that Cale America has selected our newly-constructed offices in Savannah for its mobile payment and online services operations,” remarked Jack Hall III, Vice President of Stonestreet Development Partners. “The central location is ten minutes from the Savannah / Hilton Head airport and historic downtown Savannah, making it very convenient for Cale’s national customers and international staff.”
An open house event is planned for mid-August to showcase the new training and support center, as well as the online and mobile payment products for municipalities, campuses and parking management companies from the Coastal Empire region including the Charleston, Savannah and Jacksonville areas.
