WALKER PARKING CONSULTANTS TO DESIGN 1500 SPACE PARKING GARAGE AT ASHEVILLE REGIONAL AIRPORT
Asheville, NC (November 30, 2015)—Walker Parking Consultants, the world’s leading parking consulting firm, will design a new parking garage at Asheville Regional Airport with as many as 1,500 spaces. The five story parking facility will be located directly across from the airport’s terminal. The garage will include car rental services on the floor with convenient access from the baggage claim area and long term parking on the remaining four levels. Design of the garage is underway and construction is expected to be completed by Fall 2017.
The Asheville airport has enjoyed steady growth in recent years, including significant expansion by Allegiant Airlines. This growth has pushed parking demand well over current supply and prompted the need for a multilevel parking structure.

Walker Parking Consultants will be providing parking consulting, structural engineering, and mechanical/electrical/plumbing engineering. Delta Airport Consultants will be the lead consultant and program manager, and architectural services are being provided by Gresham, Smith & Partners.
