National Parking Association Releases Greener Parking Case Studies New publication highlights sustainability in parking

Washington, DC (April 22, 2016)—This Earth Day, the National Parking Association released the first edition of Greener Parking Case Studies. It is a curated publication that highlights innovative solutions for sustainable parking.

Each month, Parking Magazine highlights a green project, company or solution to help you learn how you can make your operations more sustainable. This publication gathers more than 30 of these columns into an easy-to-use reference.

It showcases the positive impact of green practices in the parking industry and provides case examples as you make important decisions for your business. The case studies provide both data and context to help generate ideas for how you can improve your own operations.

“The National Parking Association is dedicated to the idea that by adopting green practices, parking operations can become more efficient, increasing bottom line results,” said NPA President Christine Banning, MA, CAE. “Sustainable parking is not just good for the environment, but it’s good for business, as demonstrated in this publication.”

The new book can be purchased online at WeAreParking.org/bookstore. Also available on the site is Sustainable Parking Design & Management: A Practitioner’s Handbook. A joint project of NPA and IPI, this handbook addresses sustainability trends and technologies impacting the parking industry.
