SpotHero Unveils a New Look to Celebrate Five-Year Anniversary

New Logo and Upgraded Visuals Reflect Growing Customer Base

CHICAGO (June 1, 2016)– As SpotHero celebrates its five-year anniversary this summer, the company is unveiling a new look that better reflects the savviness and sophistication of its drivers. The rebrand is the latest step for SpotHero as the company seeks to further improve the user experience through design, product updates and new features that make life easier for drivers across the country.

SpotHero’s new brand identity is bright and bold with clean lines and graphic shapes. The new logo emphasizes the hero in a confident, empowered driver. Evolved design elements from the original logo pay homage to SpotHero’s roots, including a new and improved homing beacon and car icon. An energizing color palette and strong typography bring the visual brand current, and speak to SpotHero’s modern, tech-driven approach to parking.

“We have come a long way since our early days when we bought a logo for $99,” said Mark Lawrence, co-founder and CEO of SpotHero. “We are excited to unveil this new look and continue to deliver on our promise to provide easy parking for all.”

SpotHero’s brand and design team partnered with strategic creative studio Focus Lab on the rebrand.

“Our rich collaboration with the team at SpotHero yielded a brand experience that brings company values and storytelling to the forefront,” said Chase Turberville, lead brand designer at Focus Lab. “The clean, updated system feels calm, reliable, and friendly.”

Accessibility and accountability are at the heart of SpotHero’s new design language, with visual upgrades chosen to reflect the company’s commitment to delivering trustworthy, seamless experiences. In the five years since its launch, the company has parked over three million cars in 13 cities across the country. In addition to its headquarters in Chicago, SpotHero now has offices in New York, San Francisco, and Washington D.C.

SpotHero partners with parking operators to make their excess parking inventory available for online reservations. Drivers are then able to find and reserve parking with convenient garages, lots and valets through SpotHero’s iOS app, Android app or website.
