DESIGNA implements solution in Little Rock
Little Rock/Kiel, 07-21-2016: Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Little Rock, Arkansas is now benefiting from a state-of-the-art Parking Access and Revenue Control System (PARCS) from DESIGNA, installed as part of a redevelopment project of airport facilities. The DESIGNA solution was delivered by the airport’s incumbent PARCS systems integrator and maintenance provider, Next Gen Parking.
As one of the world leading manufacturers of car park management sys-tems, DESIGNA has over 15,000 systems installed globally in a wide variety of parking situations including recent installations at Sydney and Frankfurt airports.
The new DESIGNA PARCS at Clinton National Airport is currently going through its final system acceptance. It cleverly integrates e.g. automated entry lanes, dual-use exit lanes, license plate recognition (LPR)and com-mend VoIP intercom. TransCore Automatic Vehicle Identification and a HID Proximity Card Access complete the high technology solution.
“The DESIGNA system was preferred due to the robust system architecture, stability of the platform, the flexibility to integrate and interface with any third party service provider plus the number of cli-ent references at major airports across the globe,” said Jim Bass, landside operations manager for Clinton National Airport. “Moreover, DESIGNA has been an excellent partner in the process, and we`re pleased to be working with the company.”
Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport is Arkansas’s largest commercial service airport, with nearly 2million passengers annually. The Little Rock airport hosts six airlines with dozen of daily departures and nonstop service to 15 cities.
