NPS ‘TaP’s permits and ticketing market with mobile system

 

Northgate Public Services has launched NPS TaP, a secure, mobile and cloud-based enforcement and permits management solution offered to providers including local authorities, housing associations and hospitals for things like car park ticketing.

 

The move opens up new markets for NPS, which builds and runs some of the UK’s largest transport and ticketing schemes including the HGV Levy, the national Blue Badge scheme and London Tribunals.

The solution offers significant efficiency gains and cost savings by delivering through mobile devices such as smartphones and on common IT infrastructure. Alongside self-service permit application pages, there are public online payment and appeals pages that enable the automation of both Penalty Charge Notice payment collections and the processing of appeals information relating to PCNs.

The NPS TaP-In mobile app is available for the issuing of printed tickets and validating paper or virtual permits.

The solution is fully compliant with Government Legislation for RTA84, RTA91 and TMA2004 as well as the BPA and IPC AOS Codes of Practice and associated requirements for POPLA.
