Provincetown Adds Passport Mobile Pay Option to Parking Meters
Provincetown Introduces Mobile Parking App Citywide
Provincetown, MA- Provincetown drivers will now have an easier option to feed the meter. Provincetown is the latest Massachusetts location to launch Passport, a mobile payment service that allows drivers to pay for the meter from the convenience of their smartphones. Passport, North America’s leading mobile payment provider for parking and transit, is now available at all Provincetown on-street parking meters.
Not only can parkers pay from the Passport app, but they can also monitor their parking session, review all parking history, and extend their parking (up to the maximum allotted time) remotely.
Passport powers the ParkBoston mobile pay app in the City of Boston as well as the mobile pay solutions in Salem, Acton, Springfield, Newburyport, and Haverhill. While Provincetown drivers will download the PassportParking app, ParkBoston users traveling into Provincetown will have the option of using their ParkBoston accounts for payment.
“Our solutions can work together to create a regional network that provides the utmost convenience to our clients and their users,” said Conor Kelly, Vice President of Sales at Passport.
“Passport offers the top of the line mobile technology in the industry,” said Domenic Rosati, Parking Administrator at the Town of Provincetown. “We’ve seen their app’s success in nearby cities and wanted to offer the same convenience to our residents and visitors. It’s especially exciting that ParkBoston users can travel into Provincetown and easily pay as well.”
Users will enter zone number 2657 into the app to begin their parking session. Once parked, enforcement officers can monitor app payments from their handheld devices.
The PassportParking app is free to download from the iPhone App Store and Android Google Play. Users can also manage their parking online at ppprk.com.
