August 31, 2016 – LPR Parking Enforcement Launches at Georgia Southern University

Statesboro, GA – Georgia Southern University has integrated the AIMS Parking Management Software with Genetec’s AutoVu LPR system for enhanced parking enforcement.

The Parking and Transportation Department has three LPR equipped vehicles that integrate in real-time with AIMS and their AIMS Mobile Enforcement Apps.   AIMS feeds Georgia Southern’s LPR system with permit, vehicle, and tow/boot list data.   Vehicles in need of a citation appear on the AIMS Mobile Enforcement App in real-time for citation issuance.

Parking enforcement officers now drive through lots at speeds ranging from 10 – 25 mph.   Kristi Bryant, Director of Parking and Transportation at Georgia Southern has nothing but positive feedback.   “The AIMS LPR integration into our existing program for vehicle code enforcement has not only made our job more efficient and effective, but it has also created a safer working environment for my staff. Additionally, we’re able to keep real time records from data transmitted from our vehicles to the office and are able to immediately see the need for other action based on the history of the license plate being scanned.  We appreciate EDC Corporation adding all the functionality necessary to make this system a complete package. “

The AIMS Parking Management System integrates with the LPR system of your choice, so our customers choose the best-in-class system that suits their specific needs.  Vehicle hits are transferred across all AIMS Mobile Enforcement Apps in the field.   Both the driver and foot patrol staff are able to claim hits and issue citations throughout their shift.

AIMS is used by parking departments throughout the US and Canada for efficient and intuitive integrated citation and permit management.   Find out more at www.aimsparking.com.
