Smart Parking makes a pledge in memory of Rudy & Mckayla Bruynius and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution
On Saturday 20th August the Bruynius family were tragically involved in an incident at Fistral Beach. Despite urgent action taken by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), Rudy Bruynius and his daughter Mckayla tragically died.
Smart Parking have a close association with Fistral beach and are also well known locally for sponsoring the annual Night Surf alongside with Nick Briant of Britanic Industries.
Upon hearing the tragic news we were all deeply saddened and as a team wanted to do something to help the surviving family, as well as the RNLI who tried so hard to save Rudy and Mckayla.
Collection boxes were placed around the Smart Parking offices and along with a donation from the company has raised £5000. £2500 has been donated to the family appeal and £2500 donated to the RNLI. In addition, Smart Parking has pledged to make an annual donation of £2500 to the RNLI while it continues its association with Fistral Beach and its community.
We hope that our donation, amongst the many others, make things a little easier for the family at this difficult time. We are also very committed to support the RNLI, who week-in week-out put their lives on the line to ensure the safety of the public.
For those people who would like to make a donation to the family, a JustGiving page has been set up at;
