University of Delaware Launches Parking App on Campus

Passport app now available at campus lot locations

Newark, DE- The University of Delaware today announced a new way for drivers on campus to pay the kiosk.

The University of Delaware has launched Passport, North America’s leading mobile parking app provider, at kiosk parking locations throughout campus. Passport makes parking easier by allowing users to securely pay for parking in the app.

Once users have selected their length of stay and made payment, they can easily monitor existing time in their session and even extend parking remotely (up to the maximum allotted time). Users can also view all parking history in the app.

The parking app is now available at three locations on campus: Lot 2A, 501 South College Avenue lot, Lot 6 Laird Resident lot, and Lot 7 Clayton Hall lot. Lot 4C Perkins garage will be also be available in the near future.

The university is launching Passport in order to offer more user-friendly payment options for students, faculty, and visitors on campus. The app will even offer a validation feature where parking for special events, speakers, and visitors on campus can be validated.

“Passport will be an exciting addition to the University of Delaware campus,” said Jenni Sparks, Manager, Parking Services. “Students, faculty, and visitors will have the most flexible payment options the industry has to offer. We selected Passport because of this flexibility, and are looking forward to offering easier parking payments as well as conveniences like parking validations for events on our campus.”

Passport powers the parking apps for large cities like Boston, Chicago, Toronto, and Detroit. Passport also supports a growing number of university campuses nationwide like North Carolina State University, Oregon State University, Michigan State University, and the University of Central Florida.

The PassportParking app is free to download from the iPhone App Store and Android Google Play. Users can also manage their parking online at ppprk.com.
