Kiel/Cairns (Australia), 2016/11/10: Cairns, Australia, is now benefiting from two new state-of-the-art car parking system from DESIGNA, installed at the shopping center “The Pier/Shangri-La” and within the City Centre. At the same time, the DESIGNA SABAR customer base in Far North Queensland continues to grow.
So far, DESIGNA SABAR in Cairns is providing speedy on-site service to DESIGNA`s Far North Queensland clients including the Cairns Airport, Cairns Private Hospital, Cairns Central Shop-ping Centre, and the Pullman Reef Hotel Casino. Since June, the team in Cairns now is very pleased to announce that they completed two new projects for The Pier and Lake St!
Both sites had outdated equipment, so the DESIGNA SABAR Team fitted The Pier Cairns and Lake St with DESIGNA new state-of-the-art Car Park equipment. DESIGNA SABAR also set the standard for energy efficiency with the innovative BlueEdition technology and the ABACUS operating system. In a world of limited resources, efficiency is DESIGNA SABAR’s priority; the entrance/exit terminals have the lowest power consumption in their class.
The Pier/Shangri-La Project
The Pier is the place to be in Cairns. Not only is it an impressive shopping centre, it also boasts an art gallery that exclusively exhibits local talent and an entire boardwalk of award winning restaurants. Situated right on the waterfront with a stunning view of the marina (and right next to the Shangri-La Hotel), The Pier Cairns acts as a hub for tourists wanting to take boat tours out to the iconic Great Barrier Reef. For the land-dwellers, The Pier hosts a variety of fun events for kids and adults alike. It is certainly worth a visit.
Lake St Project
The Lake St project was a great chance for DESIGNA SABAR. Lake Street is at the heart of the Cairns City Center, where parking is at a premium. It is therefore a significant piece of infra-structure providing off-street parking to workers as well shoppers.
