MeterFeeder Showcases New Multiple License Plate Recognition (MLPR) Technology at National League of Cities Conference in Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, Pa. – On Wednesday, November 16th MeterFeeder will showcase their state-of-the-art Multiple License Plate Recognition (MLPR) technology at the National League of Cities Conference Booth #936, commencing downtown Pittsburgh at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.  The conference is scheduled to run from Wednesday, November 16th to Saturday, November 19th with vendors presenting industry-based ideas and products that will innovate cities and municipalities. MeterFeeder will be one of the few companies who offer cloud-based parking solutions with a brand new MLPR system at the conference.

MeterFeeder’s CTO, Dan Lopretto is very satisfied with the results and wants to demonstrate this technology for visitors, city officials, parking officials, and other vendors at the conference. The MLPR system is housed in the mobile enforcement software and captures license plates from streaming video rather than manually entered text or static photos taken by an officer. The functionality uses the mobile device camera to capture license plates on cars parked on both sides of the street. Multiple plates are captured and listed for enforcement officers displaying payments or non-payments for ticketing. Within a few taps the officer can print a ticket and move on to the next vehicle.

MeterFeeder’s CEO, James Gibbs, will also present at the National League of Cities’ Solution Session: Working with Start Ups to Improve Core Services and Accelerate Smart Growth scheduled from 10 a.m. to 10.45 a.m. in Room 317 and 318. Taking lead on the discussion is Bradley Tusk, CEO of Tusk Ventures and will open the discussion for the panel with Mr. Gibbs offering insights on how start-up technology is offering to innovate parking for cities and municipalities.

The MLPR technology adds to MeterFeeder’s focus on usability and efficiency in parking, taking a new approach to solving existing parking issues and present innovative ways to introduce smart parking solutions. Visitors and officials are welcome to stop by MeterFeeder Booth #936 for a live demonstration or visit www.meterfeeder.com for more information.
