Schiller Park Commuter Lot Launches Parking App

Metra commuters can pay for parking with new app

Schiller Park, IL- A new app is making parking easier at the Schiller Park Metra Commuter lot.

The Village of Schiller Park has introduced Passport, the leading mobile pay parking provider in North America, at its Metra lot location. Passport’s app makes paying for Metra parking more convenient by allowing commuters to manage their parking directly from their phones.

With the app, users can:

  • Purchase parking using a debit/credit card
  • Monitor their session
  • View all parking history

“We’re very excited to introduce the new Passport app to our commuters,” said Brian Bursiek, City Administrator. “Commuters will save time using the app, allowing them to easily park and get on the Metra. When everything can be managed from the convenience of your phone, it makes the entire process seamless.”

Passport’s app will be available in all of the lot’s paid parking spaces. Passport signage in the commuter lot will instruct commuter to download the app.

Passport was selected to provide this mobile parking payment solution for Schiller Park after successful launches in over 45 Chicago suburbs, including Evanston, Oak Lawn, Skokie, and Oak Park. Passport also developed ParkChicago, Chicago’s mobile parking payment application.

The PassportParking app is free to download from the the iPhone App Store and Android Google Play. Users can also manage their parking online at ppprk.com.
