Pasadena drivers can now use a mobile app

to pay for parking

The PassportParking® app adds convenient payments solution

Pasadena, Calif. (March 15, 2018) — The PassportParking® mobile parking application is now available in Pasadena for a simpler and quicker payment option. The mobile app is powered by the global leader of mobile payments for parking and transit, Passport, serving cities and universities throughout North America.

The app will provide drivers with the convenience of making payments from their smartphones, which makes paying easier. In addition to paying for parking, users can extend their parking sessions remotely, receive notifications when their parking sessions are low on time, view their parking history and receive updates and alerts.
“Partnering with Passport is an important step towards meeting our residents’ and visitors’ expectation of being able to pay for their parking through their smartphones,” said Jon Hamblen, parking manager at the Department of Transportation for the City of Pasadena.

“We are thrilled to bring our state-of-the-art technology to Pasadena and enable a seamless parking experience,” said Nathan Berry, sales director at Passport. “It has been a pleasure to work with the City of Pasadena – helping contribute to its leadership’s vision of mobile payments for parking.”

Drivers are able to use the PassportParking app to pay for parking at more than 1,400 spaces throughout the city. They can simply download the app, input their vehicle and payment information and enjoy a stress-free parking experience.

The PassportParking app is free to download through the App Store and Google Play. Users can also manage their parking via web at ppprk.com. Download the app and enter the code PASA18 for a one-time, $1 off discount for parking in the City of Pasadena.
