Johnson has more than 13 years of experience working in the precast/prestressed concrete industry in Illinois, with prior roles in sales, marketing, and quality control.

“Mike is a great fit for our vision of PCI of Illinois and Wisconsin, and he will certainly help grow the precast industry,” said PCI IL-WI Board President Joe Lombard. “We are very pleased to welcome him to this important leadership position in our industry.”

Johnson’s precast experience includes prestressed bridge beams, soundwalls, retaining wall systems, double-tee beams, and precast building systems. He has additional related experience with concrete, having worked in materials testing for seven years and being the owner of a small contracting business. “I am excited to start this new chapter in my professional career,” said Johnson, “I look forward to renewing the relationships that I already have in the industry and in forging new ones in my role as Executive Director of PCI of Illinois and Wisconsin.”

“The success of PCI chapters is a key strategy in our goal to increase awareness and use of plant- produced, precast, prestressed concrete systems and to be stewards of the built environment,” said PCI President and CEO Bob Risser, P.E. “Our partnerships with chapter executive directors are vital to that success. Mike is an excellent addition to the team, and we look forward to working with him to grow the market and advance our members’ interests.”
