WOMEN IN PARKING ASSOCIATION

ANNOUNCES 2019 LEADERSHIP BOARD

 

 

 

 

December 10, 2018– The Women in Parking Association, a premier organization focused on advancing and promoting women in the parking industry, announces its 2019 Leadership Board. The association received a significant number of applications for four open board positions. The WIP Leadership Board is expected to guide the vision of the association and shape the community surrounding the organization.

 

 

First-term members, making up the 2019-2020 WIP Board are:

  • Britney Cooper – Walter P Moore
  • Christina Murray – Premier Parking
  • Jennifer Rentz – Dixon Resources Unlimited
  • Tricia Rukstalis – Southland Printing Company, Inc.

The board is led by Chairperson Marcy Sparrow, Parking Today. Additional WIP board officers are Executive Director Ruth Beaman, Integrapark; Associate Director and Past Chairperson Laura Longsworth, Brookfield Properties; and Treasurer Karen Blasing Pradhan, Skidata.

Board members serving their second terms include:

Jannette Benefee – Dallas Fort Worth Airport

Maggie DiPaolo – LAZ Parking

Madison Huemmer – Iparq

Tracy Notte – Citizens Parking

Kathleen Laney – Laney Solutions

Heather Matthews – University of Vermont

Nicole Wylie – SpotHero

“We are pleased to welcome the new 2019-2020 slate of board members. We are always thrilled and humbled by the caliber of applicants who want to be part of our organization. Their diverse industry experience and outstanding leadership skills will be an asset to our organization,” said WIP Chairperson Marcy Sparrow. “I am also so thankful to our returning Board Members for their commitment to the parking industry and their passion to WIP’s mission to support, promote and inspire women in this industry.”

Leadership board members serve a two-year term elected by the general WIP membership. Qualifications for members to be nominated include active participation in the association as well as notable contributions to the parking industry.  Current board members represent an array of sectors within the parking industry including university, real estate, operator, airport as well as providers of consulting, media, recruitment, printing, and technology services.

Sparrow also thanked outgoing members of the WIP board for their outstanding service to the industry: Renee Jordan, Conduent; Susan McDermott, Transcore; and Kelsey Owens, Passport.

Women in Parking is the leading association dedicated to building the future of parking through the advancement and achievement of women in the parking industry. WIP seeks to attract, retain and advance women through its mentoring program, professional development and networking opportunities, and unique access to industry executives and influential thought leaders.
