David Luken appointed new CEO of SKIDATA AG

Executive Board Update: David Luken succeeds Hugo Rohner, who is returning to Switzerland.

After seven years at the helm of the SKIDATA executive board, Hugo Rohner has decided to return to his home country for personal reasons. Under Rohner’s leadership, SKIDATA further expanded its global position as the world market leader in access and visitor management, doubling revenues since 2012. “I thoroughly enjoyed my time at SKIDATA and would like to thank all customers and employees for their sincere dedication and enriching cooperation within SKIDATA”, explains Rohner.

David Luken will succeed Rohner at SKIDATA AG as its new CEO at the end of June. The US-American brings decades of US and international experience to the company and will continue to drive the path of global expansion in the core segments Parking, Mountain and Stadia. With his knowledge as technology leader, he will further strengthen the company’s innovation and digitalization strategies

He has demonstrated a strong ability to deliver customer-centric technology at Honeywell, where he held several positions before being appointed Vice President of their global Airlines Business Segment. Following his time at Honeywell, he joined Zero Mass Water, a technology company advancing global water quality and resilience.

Luken is looking forward to the coming challenges: “SKIDATA has fascinated and inspired me on many levels. The products are well-designed and used every day by millions of people around the world. I can’t wait to be part of this international company and look forward to working with the innovative people of SKIDATA as well as the valued customers.”
