PCS Mobile 1993 – 2019, 26 Years! Now A Part of Route 1
When I was a kid growing up in rural Northwest Kansas
I wrote a term paper on what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wanted to be a lawyer. When I was a sophomore in High School, I fell in love with the Lou Grant show and wanted to be a journalist and change the world. When I moved to Denver in 1985 I took a position as a retail sales clerk promoting the Tandy mobile data computer line. I loved it and fell in love with Sales and got a taste of the fast-paced world of technology.Fast forward 26 years and I find myself soon to be past owner of PCS Mobile. I started PCS Mobile in July 1993. This company provided a journey I could never have imagined or planned. A life event that shaped who I am today, and will be tomorrow. A journey that would grant me a world full of friends, industry knowledge, joys, disappointments and most of all memories.PCS Mobile has been acquired by Route1. PCS mobile, effective July 1, will operate as a Division of Route1 and be inside the Route1, GroupMobile family.We are thrilled to announce that GroupMobile, a Route1 Inc., company has acquired PCS mobile. GroupMobile brings to PCS mobile, expertise in data security, authentication, software development and professional managed services. GroupMobile also brings to PCS robust data analytic tools with ActionPLAN and their MobiNET platform, which is used by the US Pentagon and the Department of Defense. As a final point, PCS mobile can now absolutely provide you with reliable end-to-end mobile and military grade technology solutions.It means we can offer customers unique customized solutions for their mobile data needs including data and voice. It means PCS Mobile can offer customers new innovative solutions, resources, products, and support for things we never imaged. It means having a team of qualified, experienced professionals on our team to help you.I want to sincerely thank each and every customer who supported PCS over the past 26 years. I am humbled by your support to the PCS Mobile family. I want to also thank our supportive manufacturers that believed in us and worked with us to represent the best solution for our customers. Mostly I want to thank the great PCS Mobile employees current and past who helped define our story, and made sure our customers were receiving the service we promised.My new role at PCS Mobile, a division of Route1, involves promoting our products and services to existing customers and finding more.
