PIE 2020 IS CANCELED
Effective today, PIE 2020 is canceled
This was not an easy decision for us to make. We understand that the decision affects over a thousand exhibitors and attendees, but we feel it’s the appropriate action based on the environment in which we find ourselves.
The worldwide panic brought on by the Coronavirus has led to the cancellation of everything from trade events to school classes. Companies, including many attending PIE, have instituted travel bans, thus making attending the event problematic.
Our goal is to give you as much time as possible to adjust travel plans and exhibit shipments.
Until now our plan was to continue with the event, however the situation has escalated to the point that this was untenable. Blame can be place everywhere, from individual panic to the media, from irrational fear to realistic concern about public health. Now is not a time to affix blame, but to do the right thing for our exhibitors and attendees.
We will be working through the ramifications of this decision over the next few weeks and will keep you posted as to how we will proceed going forward. You should direct any questions to either of us.
