Postponement of Parkex 2020
It is with a heavy heart that we are today announcing the postponement of Parkex, due to be held at the Ricoh Arena Coventry June 16-18. We are working to secure a date in the summer of 2021 when we can reschedule the sector’s largest parking trade show at the NEC, Birmingham.
It remains inconclusive as to when, or for how long the Government might place restrictions on mass gatherings in the UK. Nonetheless the BPA team in collaboration with Hemming Group Ltd and Brintex has taken the difficult decision to postpone this much-loved and highly anticipated event.
We are keenly aware that the developing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is putting immense pressure on not only the events industry but also the wider parking and traffic sector and the people and communities they serve. Our first priority is the health and wellbeing of the Parkex community including members, exhibitors, visitors, sponsors, suppliers and staff teams. The purpose of taking this decision with three month’s lead-time is to minimise unnecessary expenditure and stress caused by uncertainty.
We will be in touch as soon as we have confirmed further details for Parkex as soon as possible. Given the exceptional circumstances and elevated number of stakeholders to consider, we would ask for your patience in the interim period.
