Finding the joy and glory of this climb!

ParkNews.biz – Aug 4-10, 2020

“Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb.”  – Winston S. Churchill

This past week on ParkNews.biz, once again we see that albeit faced with obstacles and challenges, we in Parking Industry never give up.  We create solutions and come up with new ideas.

Here are some stepping forward and in the words of Winston, “ever-ascending, ever-improving” the path:

Spacer.com, the largest parking marketplace app in Australia lands in the US market – Spacer is a parking version of Airbnb.  Through them, you can rent your empty parking space or find affordable parking through others.  By listing with them, you can have some extra money in your pocket.  “Some owners earning as much as $6,000 per year with their empty garage or driveway.  It takes less than 10 minutes to list a parking spot online, for free.” Spacer is available in San Francisco, Chicago, NYC, Los Angeles, Washington DC, and Boston. Welcome to the USA Spacer!

ECO Parking Technologies (ECO) President, Jeff Pinyot believes in the future! They are pivoting and building and adding team members to their organization.  They have just hired 2 developers and an engineer.

ParkMobile continues to bring contactless payment option to new cities in the US.  They have just landed in St. Cloud, MN and also, announced a new “Summer Safely” initiative with the State of Delaware.  They promote COVID-19 safety measures including wearing a mask, social distancing, and contactless parking payments.

Going and parking at Fort Myers, FL beaches is easy now with Passport.  Through their app, the parker can pay in over 370 beach parking spaces without touching the meter.

Honk and ParkHub join forces to create a better parking experience at University of Arizona.   ParkHub’s CEO and founder, George Baker Sr. and the University of Arizona alumnus

shared, “Now, more than ever, businesses are looking to streamline operations and implement safer procedures for their returning customers and staff. Our partnership with Honk provides an immediate avenue to achieve this, while our overall collaboration will ultimately help pave the future of parking transactions. I am delighted to inaugurate our initial offering at my alma mater.”

Another company moving forward it Propark Mobility.  With the trend of the drive-in movie theaters, they organized a movie night in an empty parking lot and raised close to $1,000 for Foodshare, Greater Hartford’s largest anti-hunger organization.

Solutions and problem-solving, run 31 years deep in Schweers MO.  Most recently, they developed “a fast, accurate and cost-effective License Plate Inventory Solution” for ABM Aviation and Memphis International Airport. Schweers thrives on asking questions so they can provide their customers just what they need.

On ParkNews.biz, there is joy and glory of the climb daily.  Check it out every day or read it weekly, to empower yourself in your own creativity and productivity.  Inspired and together, we can ascend every mountain! Thank you for reading!
