It looks like this week of Easter and Passover, the world is slowly getting back to the basics. More and more people are getting vaccines. Final Four is about to go on in College Basketball. People are traveling more. The latter I know from flying this past Friday. Even LAX at 5 am on Friday was much busier than anytime I have flown during the pandemic in 2020, and I have flown a lot to take care of my heart challenged elderly parents.
Catching an Uber at 3:30 am was a tad of an ordeal. Albeit pre- booked and confirmed pick up time got cancelled at exactly that hour. The reason: no drivers available. Yet, an earnest prayer manifested my ride only 15 min later. Thank you Lord.
And that takes me to self reflection and appreciation. What He went through for us to live, is nothing compared to what we are challenged with. And it all boils down to faith and courage. Isn’t fear the opposite of faith? Albeit we have been primed with ubiquitous fear for a year, it is time to begin fully living this gift we call life. It is time to resurrect ourselves from fear and awaken to wisdom. It is all about making a choice. If we believe in Him and follow His rules, there is no fear that ought to ever be present in us or around.

“Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” ~ Mark 4:40
There is at least 365 verses more to fear not.
So what do I choose? What value fear creates? To me none. If you start a business, take a new job, write a book, get married, or do anything worthwhile mustn’t you come from courage?
Yes, there are always risks. Tomorrow is never promised for any of us. But, there is always a common sense. I won’t walk in the dark alley by myself. I won’t cross the street without looking both ways. I won’t touch a hot stove. I won’t drive in icy conditions. So no fear and life is dynamic. We move forward. Taking again the road less travelled, which was barely stepped on for over a year.
On that note, the World of Concrete is happening in Las Vegas: March 24, 2021 – World of Concrete Approved to Move Forward in Las Vegas in June.
I have faith that it will be pave the way to conferences in person. No more zoom. We all want to see our colleagues and be seen. We want to be heard. And we want to listen without looking on some screen.
