AppyWay welcomes Mike Potter from Dorset Council to drive greater value for local authority clients

London, UK, 21st September 2021, AppyWay, the multi-award-winning kerbside management and smart parking firm has today announced the appointment of ex-Dorset Council highways team leader Mike Potter as Customer Success Manager for the public sector. The appointment comes at a crucial time for AppyWay as the company onboards authorities across the country to its innovative traffic order management suite.

Mike brings with him a wealth of experience from his 10 years spent within local government. During his time working for the highway authority Mike developed a firm belief that data standardisation should be at the heart of local highway authority thinking; helping towns, cities, and their residents and businesses to excel. With local authorities brimming with rich data, Mike understands the challenge is often how to harness and share this important data.

With a love for smoothing out bumpy processes for the benefit of both the customer and business, Mike is an ideal fit for AppyWay as the team continues to champion faster, more efficient, digital traffic orders. Mike passionately believes map-based orders are essential for streamlined processes and providing the clean and clear data required to enable a future of accessible and sustainable mobility.

Mike comments, “I’m delighted to be joining AppyWay at such an exciting time. The team have been busy onboarding local authority partners to the AppyWay Traffic Suite and I’m eager to help them on their journey, enabling them to transform their traffic orders and derive success from every step of the traffic order process.”

Dan Hubert Founder & CEO of AppyWay adds, “I’m very excited to have Mike Potter take up the position of Customer Success Manager. Mike believes in our mission to “Help cities thrive, from the kerb up” and knows that local authority data will be key to this. His extensive local authority experience within highways and traffic teams combined with his knowledge on digitised, standardised traffic orders means he brings with him an exciting blend of skills that ensures local authorities up and down the country can unlock the benefits of our Traffic Suite, faster.”

Mike will be attending and speaking at the upcoming ADEPT National Traffic Managers conference on October 13th at the Leicester Tigers Rugby Club. Do not miss his talk “Making the move to map-based orders: Real world benefits of TRO data standardisation”.
