ParkMobile has over 27 million users across North America and is available for both iPhone and Android devices. ParkMobile can also be accessed on a mobile web browser for those who do not want to download an app. To pay for parking using the mobile or web app, a user enters the zone number posted on signs around the parking spot, selects the amount of time needed, and touches the “Start Parking” button to begin the session. The user can also extend the time of the parking session on their mobile device. In Arcata, ParkMobile will also be offering payment via dedicated kiosks and meters using the same zone number method.

With the addition of Arcata, ParkMobile is now available in 44 markets in California, with over 2.4 million users in the state. The app can be used in other Northern California cities, including Berkley, Sacramento, South San Francisco, San Jose, and throughout the state in Los Angeles, San Diego, Newport Beach, and more. The ParkMobile app can be used to pay for parking in over 450 cities in the U.S.

“We are excited to introduce ParkMobile in Arcata as residents and visitors have been asking for a more convenient way to pay for parking. We have tried out ParkMobile in other cities and were impressed with its simplicity and ability to extend parking time straight from your phone. We encourage you to download the app today,” said Arcata City Manager, Karen Diemer.

“ParkMobile is proud to partner with the City of Arcata to help them enable contactless parking and easier parking solutions in various locations around the city,” says Jeff Perkins, CEO of ParkMobile. “California is our second most popular state, so the addition of Arcata further adds to our growing presence in the market.”
