Fleet Advantage Announces Two Additional Awards Earned to Finish 2021

Company Recognized for Top Women in Equipment Finance and Top Software and Technology Provider

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Fleet Advantage, a leading innovator in truck fleet business analytics, equipment financing, and life cycle cost management (LCCM) announced today that Senior Fleet Transaction Analyst and Project Manager, Jackie Jacobs, has been recognized as a recipient of Monitor’s 2021 Top Women in Equipment Finance award. The company has also received  Food Logistics 2021 Top Software & Technology Providers Award.

The Top Women in Equipment Finance Award recognizes women in leadership positions in the equipment finance industry, specifically looking at their exceptional qualities and achievements, not only during 2021, but throughout their entire careers.

Jacobs was recognized because of her crucial role in providing customers and bank partners with custom analytic reports to examine cost metrics and establish an optimal fleet modernization strategy, as many businesses in the equipment industry continue looking for ways to optimize financial structures on their fleets.

Since being promoted to her current role last February, Jacobs’s input and analysis of lease origination pricing, proposals, and presentations for multimillion-dollar truck equipment financing deals also helped client companies and their financial departments identify life cycle cost reductions, dormant equity in trucks, and opportunities to improve productivity.

“Jackie has been instrumental in operating and improving Fleet Advantage’s standard finance models and exemplifies our company’s flexibility in the ever-evolving transportation industry,” said John Rickette, CTP, CLFP, Vice President of Portfolio and Manager of the Transaction Management Team at Fleet Advantage. “Jackie’s hard work, dedication, commitment to excellence and leadership skills are on display daily and the entire Fleet Advantage team is so proud of her.”

The Top Software & Technology Providers Award recognizes software and technology providers that have ensured a safe, efficient, and reliable global cold food and beverage supply chain.

Fleet Advantage was recognized because of its innovative Sale-Leaseback program, in which a company can select the assets from their fleet that are older models and Fleet Advantage will purchase those assets and lease them back to the fleet for an interim period until they can then transition to new equipment when ready. This enabled organizations to generate cash in the nearest term and allowed for the rightsizing of fleets if an organization had a surplus of trucks. The program has a positive effect on the bottom-line P&L since the ensuing lease payment is lower than the current depreciation charge.

As a second major initiative and part of helping companies satisfy their ESG (Environmental Social Governance) goals, Fleet Advantage unveiled its pioneering Safety-First Program designed to reduce driver and motorist fatalities, accidents and injuries; while also helping protect fleet organizations against rising costs due to litigation, damages and vehicle repairs.

This year approximately 98 percent of all Fleet Advantage leased trucks included advanced Lane Departure technologies; 95 percent included Collision Avoidance; and 81 percent included Blindspot Assist. Furthermore, 82 percent of the company’s leased trucks included front disc brakes and rear disc brakes.??

“We are beyond proud to be recognized by Food Logistics as one of this year’s top software and technology providers,” said John Flynn, CEO of Fleet Advantage. “The transportation fleet industry has been working through much uncertainty and volatility this year, but our focus on fleet modernization has enabled clients to significantly increase overall productivity, reduce truck operating downtime, save millions of gallons of diesel fuel, decrease emissions, and lower cost-per-mile in maintenance and repair (M&R) expenses.”
