Meet GMP AI ExpressLane: Ticketless AI-PARCS with Enhanced LP Matching

July 16, 2024

Los Angeles, California – July 16th, 2024 – Get My Parking, a pioneer in white-labeled, interoperable smart parking solutions, is excited to announce the launch of ExpressLane, a groundbreaking AI-PARCS that leverages AI to reduce LPR misreads. Providing 100% revenue capture while delivering a super fast ticketless parking experience.

ExpressLane enables parkers to enter and exit parking facilities without stopping at gates or pulling a ticket, making it ideal for all types of parkers, including visitors, permit holders, fleet partners, or users of your custom-branded parking app. It is a fully managed service where GMP AI repairs and closes sessions quickly and accurately, even if a license plate is misread.

Easy Retrofit Set Up

ExpressLane works with both gated and ungated environments and retrofits seamlessly with your existing equipment, saving owners and operators from spending a relative fortune on hardware upgrades. Deployment costs less than $2,000 of hardware per lane, thanks to our Plug-N-Play, off-the-shelf Gatekit. We offer custom signages and digital display software to make parking easier for parkers and operators. Our expert team also provides round-the-clock support to assist you throughout the setup and operations processes.

Superfast Entry and Exit

As vehicles drive through an ExpressLane, cameras accurately read license plates with the help of GMP AI, even in challenging conditions such as low light, extreme angles or low visibility conditions. The system automatically initiates a parking session for both registered and transient parkers. On exit, the parking session automatically ends and gates open without manual intervention.

Flexible Payments

At exit points, cameras identify the vehicle’s license plate and the display kiosk shows the parking fee. For parkers registered on your app, payment can be automatically collected. Drive-ins can scan a QR code or tap a card at the exit terminal to use their preferred payment method. The wide range of payment options including Apple Pay ensures 100% cashless revenue collection.

As Accurate as LPR Gets

ExpressLane enables highly accurate license plate matching technology, supported by real-time AI corrections. GMP AI is trained to identify state codes and plate mismatches to repair and correct parking sessions in cases of bad lighting or illegible license plates. The admin panel also offers manual supervision so that we can provide corrections to further improve the AI.

Pre-booked sessions and permits

ExpressLane is built to accommodate pre-booked parking sessions and permits to avoid duplicate sessions or overcharging parkers. With Get My Parking’s integration with Ocra, ExpressLane can identify reservations made through third-party solutions and connect their parking sessions to the same.

Easy Validations

Operators can partner with local businesses to offer parking validations. Customers can validate their parking sessions by providing their license plate number or phone number to the staff who chooses the appropriate validation through a self-serve portal.

Usher in New Revenue

ExpressLane represents a revolutionary advancement in parking technology, setting up ticketless AI powered-PARCS without the high cost of new gate installations. ExpressLane’s powerful admin tools allow for easy configuration of service fees, parking rates, and validations, providing a significant return on investment from day one.

Comprehensive Reports and Parking Data Insights

Keep track of every session, transaction, and parker with detailed reports on intuitive dashboards designed by parking experts. Get a better understanding of your parking data with actionable insights to help you enhance your operations, identify enforceable sessions, and maximize profits with data-driven decisions.

Upgrade your parking facilities with ExpressLane now and let your customers experience the future of parking today.

PhoenixEV Powers Up University of California, Irvine, with New Electric Bus Fleet

July 15, 2024

Greenville, SC (July 15, 2024)PhoenixEV, a leading manufacturer of innovative electric buses, delivered five 40′ ZX5 battery electric buses in May

2024 for the University of California, Irvine (UCI). This win marks a major step for PhoenixEV in providing universities with reliable and sustainable transportation solutions.

UCI has had an electric fleet since January 2018 and is the first university in the nation to go all electric. Since then, UCI has added 25 buses to their fleet, and logged 1,183,210 miles. Also, their ridership for the 23-24 academic year was 1,464,378 while annually hitting 184,938 miles and averaging 3555 miles weekly.

The buses are charged using UCI’s state-of-the-art microgrid, which consists of an internal utility tunnel loop connected to the local utility via an on-campus substation. The internal utility loop spans around the campus and connects the community of over 30,000 people to various distributed energy resources, including charging stations for each of the new Anteater Express buses. Also, charging their fleet costs only $0.37 per mile compared to the $1.53 per mile they could be spending with diesel.

“PhoenixEV is proud of our partnership with UCI,” says Denton Peng CEO of PhoenixEV. “UCI is a forward-thinking university dedicated to sustainable transportation for their students and community, and we are delighted to be a strategic electric bus partner with UC Irvine.”

A Sustainable Future for Transportation

This partnership marks a significant step forward for both PhoenixEV and UCI. PhoenixEV continues its expansion into the educational market, while UCI continues to lead in reducing greenhouse gas emissions by committing to ensuring that at least 50% of fleet acquisitions are zero or low emission vehicles. Everfield acquires ParkHere, software specialist for smart parking

July 10, 2024

Munich, July 9, 2024. Everfield has acquired Munich-based software company ParkHere (https://park-here.eu/), a leading provider of smart parking technology. ParkHere‘s solution makes it easy for companies to allocate and manage parking spaces and electric vehicle charging stations for their employees. Parking spaces are digitally recorded in the ParkHere software, employees can manage their bookings with a mobile app, and a sensor provides automatic entry to garages using a QR Code or license plate recognition technology. The company’s customer base is growing strongly, and includes Henkel, Telefónica, Zurich Versicherung and HochTief. As a new member of Everfield, ParkHere continues to strengthen its growth plans.

“With its intelligent all-in-one solution, ParkHere is one of the leading providers of digital parking management systems in the DACH region,” says Oscar Koberling, Country Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland at Everfield. “As a highly specialised, innovative technology company, ParkHere fits perfectly with Everfield. Together with ParkHere’s experienced management team, we want to build on previous successes and drive future growth.”

ParkHere offers companies a complete solution consisting of software and hardware to digitally capture and efficiently manage existing parking spaces. “With the help of an app, authorised employees can see in real time what parking is available and make reservations,” explains Clemens Techmer, Co-Founder and new Co-CEO of ParkHere. “The tedious search for parking is a thing of the past, and employees can begin their working days stress-free.” The ParkHere app also integrates with Microsoft Teams, allowing employees to reserve their parking space using software applications they use regularly during work hours. Finally, employees who pay for their parking spaces at work can do so based on time used, rather than a monthly lump sum.

ParkHere also controls access to car parks or parking spaces via a digital access system. By means of license plate recognition or QR Code access, employees or visitors gain access, for example by automatically opening a barrier. “The combination of a digital dashboard, mobile app and physical access terminals for parking garages makes parking easy to plan”, says René Rather, Co-CEO of ParkHere. “Companies can also use the flexible booking system to manage charging spots for electric vehicles. This means that employees can reserve charging spots for electric vehicles and control the charging process via the app.”

“Smart parking solutions are an important building block for sustainable mobility concepts in urban areas. This has true growth potential”, says Everfield’s Head of Acquisitions Henning Schreiber. “ParkHere has many large companies among its long-standing customers and has a strong growth trajectory for the future.”

“Joining Everfield opens up a number of great new opportunities for us and our customers”, says Felix Harteneck, former CEO and Co-Founder of ParkHere. “We have experienced continuous and fast organic growth since our inception in 2015. With Everfield as a strategic partner, we will continue to expand our offering and develop our products in the future.”

The management team and more than 30 employees remain with the company. ParkHere remains available to customers and partners at their Munich office.

Jaber Tannay, Senior Vice President of Corum Group Intl acted as the M&A adviser to ParkHere.

Portier USA Introduces Portier AI, a Revolutionary Artificial Intelligence-Driven Parking Guidance Solution that Predicts Parking Availability

June 14, 2024

Columbus, OH (June 11, 2024)—Portier USA today announced the launch of Portier AI, a groundbreaking artificial intelligence-driven parking guidance solution that can predict parking occupancy in the near future. Portier AI is available as a module to the company’s Wayfinder platform, a web-based parking guidance tool that drivers can access on their personal devices to get real-time information about how many parking spaces are available in area garages and parking lots. When Portier AI is deployed with Wayfinder, drivers can also get information about how many spaces will be available when the driver arrives at the parking facility.

“Portier AI is a game changer,” said Jussi Tomperi, Managing Director of Portier USA. “Not only does the technology tell drivers where parking is available, but it can also tell them how full the garage will be when they arrive, and whether the garage they’ve chosen will still be their best option. This is the true definition of Smart Parking.”

Portier AI uses current and historical parking data to forecast the facility’s occupancy in the near future. Combined with Wayfinder, the technology can create a guidance application that not only provides real-time guidance information but can also predict how many spaces will be available by the time the driver arrives at the parking facility. It can also recommend other area garages or lots if it determines that the garage will be full by the time the driver arrives. In addition to being available as part of Portier Wayfinding, Portier AI is also available as a separate solution that can be integrated into any manufacturer’s PARCS technology or parking guidance system.

“The benefits of Portier AI to parkers are obvious, but the benefits to parking owners and operators are just as important,” said Tomperi. “Being able to forecast future occupancy allows owners and operators to boost revenues by better managing spaces for different types of users, such as permit and short-term parkers. This can have an extraordinarily positive impact on the bottom line.”

About Portier USA

Portier USA is the US branch of Portier, one of the world’s leading and most innovative providers of parking guidance technology. Portier has provided parking guidance solutions for more than 20 years, and currently covers nearly 400,000 parking spaces globally. In addition to the company’s industry-leading camera-based, sonic, and counter guidance systems, Portier also offers Portier Wayfinding, a groundbreaking web-based platform showing parkers real-time occupancy information to help direct them to parking facilities with available parking. Portier can be found online at http://portier.host.
