Mike Battaglia has served as Sr. Vice President of Sales and Business Development for Blink since December 2020. He will assume the position of Chief Revenue Officer, a position not currently filled, and will play a vital role in the company’s growth. In this capacity, Mr. Battaglia will oversee Blink’s global sales organization, develop go-to-market strategies, and identify new overseas expansion opportunities. Prior to joining Blink, Mr. Battaglia served as Vice President of Sales at JD Power. Mr. Battaglia earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Boston College Carroll School of Management.

Mark Pastrone has served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Company’s subsidiary SemaConnect, acquired in June 2022, where he played a key role in building the company’s sales, service, technology, and production capabilities. Mr. Pastrone will now serve as COO for Blink as the two companies align all operational activities. In his new role he will focus on achieving synergies and operational efficiencies for Customers Service, Installation Operations, and Charger Production. Prior to his role at SemaConnect, Mr. Pastrone worked in the aerospace industry, and led the development of several commercial space ventures at Orbital Sciences Corporation including GeoEye, acquired by Maxar. Mr. Pastrone earned a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He also holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

The Board also approved the appointment of Aviv Hillo, Esq. as Executive Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions, in addition to his role as Blink’s General Counsel. Mr. Hillo has served as General Counsel since June 2018, and in addition to those duties will focus on the company’s M&A strategies as Blink continues to expand its leading position in the market. Prior to joining Blink, Mr. Hillo was a partner at New York and Israeli boutique law firms (Schechter Hill and Yerushalmi & Associations), had several positions as General Counsel and was a co-founder, and Deputy CEO in an Israeli-American Laser tech entity. Mr. Hillo graduated from the Tel Aviv School of Law in 1993, and received his Master’s Degree (cum laude) in Banking, Corporate and Finance Law at Fordham School of Law in 2001. He was admitted to the Israeli Bar in 1994 and to the New York State Bar in 1999.

US Patent No. 11,488,471, which is part of TKH Security’s patent portfolio, has the potential to enhance TKH Security’s third generation smart-sensor for a camera based automated parking guidance system (APGS), the M5. In order to better utilize the capacity of the traffic network, improve the overall performance of the traffic system in all conditions, as well as to raise the level of traffic safety, advanced traffic management systems or Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) are utilized to monitor, control and manage the traffic flow. The ITS system on the highway Banja Luka – Doboj covers the section from the Tovira interchange (Johovac) to the Kostajnica (Rudanka) interchange. It includes, within a single platform, integrated systems for traffic monitoring, management of variable traffic signals, speed control and traffic lanes usage definition, road weather condition measurement and informing traffic participants about them, video surveillance, detection of traffic parameters and a system for oversized vehicle detection. The ITS system is modular and adaptable in terms of functionality and size, enabling it to expand and adapt to future infrastructure requirements.

The integrated automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) technology is part of the ITS system, which automatically takes pictures of each passing vehicle’s front, angle, or rear. Its processing software automatically detects and reads the vehicle license plates and takes action depending on the recognition results, e.g., transfer of results to the central system for further processing. The cameras used are intelligent Tattile Smart 2HD, a model specifically designed for outdoor installation and reliable performance day and night in all weather conditions. The Tattile Smart 2HD cameras enable vehicle data collection at a maximum vehicle speed of 250 km/h. Cameras are installed on portals and pillars and work 24 hours / 7 days a week. In the next step, the highway operator Autoputevi Republike Srpske plans to further exploit the abilities of the Tattile Smart Cameras by activating system functionalities such as recognition of vehicle brand and color as well as vehicle class. Also, average speed measurement or section speed control is currently planned to be installed using the Tattile camera technology. Such additional information may be particularly useful to a third party, such as, e.g., traffic police, in performing their duties. In addition to further expanding the data generation on the current highway section, the highway operator intends to expand the entire system to more highway sections in the Republic of Srpska.

Users are now able to reserve parking in advance of events at Iowa Events Center via the ParkDSM app.



Des Moines, IA – November 15, 2022 – ParkMobile, the #1 parking app in the U.S., has expanded its partnership with ParkDSM, a parking app for the City of Des Moines, to offer parking reservations throughout the City of Des Moines. Through ParkDSM, reservations can be made for upcoming events at the Iowa Events Center, and more public and private off-street locations will be added soon. The app is available in Ames, Cedar Rapids, Davenport, Iowa City, and Sioux City. The ParkDSM app can also be used to pay for parking anywhere ParkMobile is accepted. Reserving a parking space is quick and easy. A user can go to the “reserve” tab of the ParkDSM app to view a full list of upcoming events with all the available parking options. To make a parking reservation, users search for the event venue in the ParkDSM app and select the space they’d like to park in. After the user books the reservation, it can be redeemed at the location using a mobile pass in the ParkMobile app or a printed permit.

The Parking Industry Expo and the Big Ten and Friends Parking and Transportation Conference are excited to announce that their joint 2023 conference events will be held on March 28-30 at the Schaumberg Convention Center, PIE Director Marcy Sparrow announced today.

The Big Ten and Friends will host 80 plus university parking, transit, and fleet leaders, who will be participating in the PIE seminars and exhibit hall along with university-specific programming.  A highlight will be a panel session featuring university transportation experts on Thursday, March 30. During this interactive session, the experts will share their stories and answer questions from attendees.

Big Ten and Friends Parking and Transportation Conference representative Ross Allanson, CAPP, CPP, Director of Parking & Transportation Services at the University of Minnesota, said that he was pleased that the two organizations could come together after they paused their Big Ten conference while the country responded to COVID-19.  Centrally located, Schaumburg, Illinois is an ideal location for a conference that brings together universities and colleges from across the nation.
