Every year since 2017, ALAN’s Humanitarian Logistics Awards honors individuals and organizations that have demonstrated an ongoing and sustained commitment to helping others in their time of greatest need – and who serve as beacons of hope before, during and after disasters strike.

 

As Fleet Advantage understands children and their families are often in need in every community across America today, KATC has touched thousands of lives with charitable and volunteer support aimed at several causes since 2014 including most recently collaborating with Trucking and Logistics Professionals for Ukraine, established by Fleet Advantage’s customer GP Transco, to provide financial aid toward a Ukrainian humanitarian effort. Fleet Advantage was also excited to nominate GP Transco for this Outstanding Contribution To Disaster Relief Efforts Award which they won for raising more than $2 million for Ukrainian relief.

 

Additionally, the Outstanding Contribution To Disaster Relief Efforts Award recognized KATC’s response in 2020 to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic with the First Responders Children’s Foundation and the Jacksonville School of Autism. KATC also provided facial coverings to families of transportation professionals after the onset of COVID-19, and donated to the truckersfinalmile.org  mission, which aims to reunite North American truck drivers and their families in times of crisis.

TKH Security: Kansas City International Airport’s Superior Customer Experience Journey Begins and Ends in the Parking Garage

 

 

Cheshire, CT – September 28, 2022 – TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) has begun installing the previously awarded Automated Parking Guidance System (APGS) contract through JE Dunn Construction in conjunction with the Kansas City Aviation Department(KCAD) in Kansas City, MO. Landing in spring 2023, the Kansas City Aviation Department will open a new single terminal representing a total transformation of Kansas City’s air passenger experience. Part of this project will be a 6,219-space parking garage with a location adjacent to the terminal, plus dedicated curb spaces for taxis and ride sharing platforms and shuttles, all planned to maintain Kansas City International’s convenient experience as travelers arrive and depart.

“We’re excited to add this technology to our parking garage for the new terminal.  Our customers will feel the biggest positive impact. Year to date, our passenger count is up 35 percent, and for most of them, the parking garage is the first and last touchpoint. We wanted to extend our superior customer experience to this area,” said Manager of Parking Services Katy Sell. “The APGS also will allow us to maximize utilization of our parking facilities. The constant stream of data analytics will assist with parking garage operation efficiency.”

With TKH Security’s new smart-sensor M5 camera-based APGS, customers will have the means to efficiently find an available parking space. Each smart-sensor can monitor up to six parking spaces simultaneously. The bright, red and green color-coded LED light on the smart-sensors instantly visually direct motorists to available spaces.  Reducing time to park by up to 63%, the APGS will help travelers arrive to their gate quickly.

  • Park Alerts, which notify operators when certain vehicles enter the building including VIP passengers,
  • Park Finder, which helps drivers find their vehicle in seconds,
  • And an API package that provides the Aviation Department with a secure connection to a limitless set of third-party parking related solutions.

WATERLOO, Ontario  — eleven-x, a global leader providing complete, high-performance, wireless IoT and Smart City solutions, today announced the company has been awarded a contract by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee(UWM) to improve the parking experience on the 104 acre main campus by enabling a frictionless parking experience for students, faculty, visitors and staff. The company will deploy its eXactpark™ parking monitoring solution, which combines sensor-based space occupancy monitoring, real-time data, and intelligent enforcement amongst other features based on its comprehensive software platform.

To help UWM’s 4,700 employees, 23,000 students and countless visitors find parking more easily, eleven-x will install more than 1,200 units of its award-winning SPS-X sensor across the various parking structures and street spaces on campus. Additionally, solar powered signage will be installed at key points to help drivers with wayfinding, helping reduce cruise times, improve pedestrian safety and enhance the overall campus environment. eXactpark’s software platform will also provide real-time insight on parking availability for more efficient parking management to support increased revenues. The easy-to-use digital dashboard will be accessible via website or phone app, enabling the university to share space availability and location with drivers.
