Starkville’s own Mississippi State University enacted ParkMobile in 2020, and now drivers are able to use the same app to park around the city. ParkMobile is also available in Jackson, MS and nearby Southeastern cities including Birmingham, Memphis, and Montgomery. The addition of ParkMobile in Starkville will help increase the app’s userbase in Mississippi.

ParkMobile has over 30 million users across North America, is available for both iPhone and Android devices, or can also be accessed on a mobile web browser. To pay for zone parking using the mobile or web app, a user enters the zone number posted on signs around the parking spot, selects the amount of time needed, and touches the “Start Parking” button to begin the session. The user can also extend the time of the parking session on their mobile device.

The City of Des Moines to Launch a Mobile Parking App, ParkDSM, Powered by ParkMobile

 

 

 

DES MOINES, IA –  – ParkMobile, the leading provider of smart parking and mobility solutions in North America, will be launching ParkDSM, a parking app for the City of Des Moines, in 2022. ParkDSM, powered by ParkMobile, will enable people to easily pay for on-street parking right from their mobile device at 3,000 spots around the city. ParkDSM will launch in January, though availability will increase as new pay stations are installed throughout 2022. The ParkMobile app will still be accepted for current users.

ParkMobile has over 29 million users, is available for both iPhone and Android, or can be accessed on the web at https://parkmobile.io/. To pay for parking using the ParkDSM app, users will simply enter the zone and space numbers posted on the stickers and signs around the parking spot, choose the duration of time they wish to park, and touch the “start parking” button. The ParkDSM app will send alerts when the parking session is about to expire so a user can extend time right from the app.

With the upcoming launch of ParkDSM, ParkMobile continues to expand its presence in Iowa where there are over 61,000 users. ParkMobile is currently available in Ames, Davenport, and Sioux City, as well as on-campus at Iowa State University and the University of Northern Iowa. Beyond the state, ParkMobile can also be used to pay for parking in other Midwestern cities, including Minneapolis, Milwaukee, and Indianapolis, and in over 500 cities and over 100 universities and colleges across the country.

With just a few taps, Google Pay users can quickly start a parking session anywhere in Atlanta where ParkMobile is accepted

 

 

 

Atlanta, GA – June 8, 2021 – ParkMobile, the leading provider of smart parking and mobility solutions in the U.S., today announced a new way for people to pay for parking around the City of Atlanta directly from the Google Pay app. Starting this month, all Google Pay users will be able to start a parking session anywhere ParkMobile is accepted in the city.

 

To make a parking payment, a user will open the Google Pay app on their Android or iOS mobile device and tap to park from the home screen. The user will start a new session, enter the parking zone and space number, add time, and finish the payment. If it is the user’s first time using Google Pay to park, the user also has to enter the car’s license plate number. Once the session has started, the user can easily extend parking time from the Google Pay app without going back to the meter. Additionally, there are quick links from the driving directions in Google Maps that take a user right into the ParkMobile section of the Google Pay app.
