WAZE AND ARRIVE UNVEIL ENHANCED TRIP PLANNER FOR STADIUMS AND VENUES

Prompts Users When to Leave and Routes Drivers Directly to Venue Parking Garages, Reducing Congestion and Making it Easier for Drivers to get to Events on Time

Chicago, June 4, 2019 — Waze and Arrive are making it easier for people to get to concerts and sporting events through an enhanced Trip Planner feature called “GamePlan.” The feature is meant as a way to help fans get to their seats on time, and alleviate traffic and congestion around venues.  Anyone who purchases event parking through an Arrive-powered venue can add the trip directly to Planned Drives in their Waze app.

“Every day, multiple times a day, tens of thousands of people travel to a venue or stadium at exactly the same time to listen to a concert or cheer on their favorite team. That creates an incredible amount of congestion in a short period of time – and often in city centers that are already quite busy,” said Paulo Cabral, Head of Waze Global Events Partner Program. “Our company’s mission is to reduce traffic and the GamePlan feature does just that – it makes it easier for people to get to where they need to go on time.”

The collaboration was piloted with Arrive’s premier partner Olympia Development in advance of a popular concert at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. In addition to adding the trip in their Planned Drives, Waze and Arrive also alerted users when they should depart and shared turn-by-turn directions directly to the venue parking garage entrance, taking into account road closures around the venue. Initial results were strong, as more than half of fans who booked parking through Arrive for the concert opened an email suggesting they add the trip to their Planned Waze Drives and nearly 20% asked Waze to help “Plan Their Drive.” Waze and Arrive will continue to test GamePlan with select venues starting in June and expect to scale it broadly across North America by the end of the summer.

“Parking and congestion are consistently cited as the two biggest pain points for fans attending games or events, so we understand that the fan experience starts well before anyone sets foot in a venue. We’re excited to work with Waze and our hundreds of venue partners to make the journey as seamless as possible for their customers,” said Dan Roarty, President and COO of Arrive. “We look forward to further collaboration, as we make the GamePlan integration more robust and extend the service beyond venues to airports and others destinations where time is of the essence.”

LAS VEGAS SELECTS PARKWHIZ TO POWER EVENT PARKING

Partnership Makes it Easier for Local Residents to Find and Book Parking in Advance

May 23, 2019, Las Vegas, NV — In response to resident and visitor demands for simpler and more convenient parking, the city has partnered with ParkWhiz to power event parking in Las Vegas, including the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center.

“Over the last few years, downtown Las Vegas has experienced significant growth, especially when it comes to events, and one of our biggest complaints is how to find convenient parking,” said Brandy Stanley, Parking Services Manager from the city of Las Vegas. “We wanted to identify a partner to help simplify parking and make it easier for everyone to get to where they need to go.”

ParkWhiz will kick off work with the city around events at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, including this weekend’s Punk Rock Bowling concert series from May 25 – May 27. Attendees can purchase event parking in advance through the ParkWhiz mobile app or on ParkWhiz.com and escape the hassle of trying to find parking. All of the city’s garages are now available for reservations through ParkWhiz, so even if someone is not coming downtown for an event, it is easy to reserve a parking space in advance and know exactly where to park. For any event that is powered by Ticketmaster, people will have the option to book parking along with their ticket purchase.

“We realize that parking is really a means to an end – the thing you have to do before doing what you want to do. We’re excited to partner with the city of Las Vegas to make parking much easier and hassle-free for residents and visitors alike,” said Dan Roarty, President and COO of Arrive, ParkWhiz’s parent company.

AVIS PARTNERS WITH ARRIVE TO PROVIDE CUSTOMERS ENHANCED MOBILITY SERVICES

~ Leisure and Business Travelers Can Find, Book and Pay for Arrive-Powered Parking in the Avis App ~

~ Partnership Allows Travel Managers to Better Manage Costs ~

PARSIPPANY, N.J., March 26, 2019 — Avis and Arrive just made finding parking a snap for users of the Avis app. Available now, Avis app users can find, instantly book and pre-pay for parking, saving drivers time, effort and money. It’s the perfect complement to the existing features in the Avis app that give them greater control, transparency and personalization of the overall experience.

“We are constantly striving to improve the customer experience, and solving one of the biggest pain points – parking – will go a great distance to helping us achieve our goal,” said Arthur Orduna, Chief Innovation Officer, Avis Budget Group. “The Arrive app integration removes the stress and hassle of finding parking for both road warriors and leisure travelers, while also making the lives of travel managers easier. This partnership cuts across all three of Avis Budget Group’s innovation initiatives: reinventing rental, digitizing the business and developing new models.”

As one of the largest non-managed travel expenses, parking can also have a huge impact on a company’s bottom line. Through the Avis and Arrive partnership, travelers and travel managers can save money on parking expenses when a road warrior rents an Avis vehicle and pays for parking within the Avis app.

Available to all Avis users in the United States, all parking-related fees purchased through the Avis app are applied directly to the customer’s credit card associated with the rental further simplifying travel expense management and providing rich data to help inform financial models.

“We understand that parking can be difficult, especially in unfamiliar cities, and it can often come with a huge cost that has historically been hard to predict,” said Dan Roarty, President and COO of Arrive. “We are honored to partner with Avis to provide their customers a simpler travel experience and a better way to manage their expenses.”

Arrive: Honda Dream Drive to Deliver Next-Generation Infotainment, Commerce, Services and Rewards to Drivers and Passengers

January 08, 2019

Honda Dream Drive to Deliver Next-Generation Infotainment, Commerce, Services and Rewards to Drivers and Passengers

·       Honda Innovations collaborates with leading consumer brands and retailers to create new in-vehicle experience

·       Demos of prototype mobile-based dashboard at CES 2019

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Jan. 8, 2019 – Delivering on customer expectations for the full integration of mobile services into the vehicle experience, Honda is demonstrating its prototype Honda Dream Drive, the automotive industry’s first integrated driver and passenger infotainment, commerce, services and rewards dashboards within the vehicle environment. First shown as a concept at CES 2017, Honda Dream Drive has evolved to offer drivers and passengers a broad range of convenient services and engaging entertainment options, while minimizing the potential for driver distraction. Developed in collaboration with Connected Travel, a connected vehicle platform and application services company, Honda is offering demos of Honda Dream Drive in the all-new 2019 Honda Passport at its CES booth #7900 in the North Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Jan. 8-11, 2019.

The new prototype mobile-based dashboards provide services and experiences designed specifically for both drivers and passengers:

·       Honda Dream Drive: Driver demonstrates the expansion of Honda’s in-vehicle payment technology concept, first introduced at CES 2017 with Visa. It enables drivers to pay for goods and services like fuel, movie tickets and parking, make restaurant reservations, food ordering for pickup or delivery, and even share the driver’s location with friends and family.

·       Honda Dream Drive: Passenger offers passengers the ability to play mixed reality games, watch movies, listen to music, read original comics stories, use travel applications, explore new points of interest along the route, and control the radio and cabin features – all from the passenger’s mobile device.

Moreover, customers will have access to purchase Honda Dream Drive content, movie or event tickets, order ahead, and a variety of other convenience options provided by Honda’s collaborators.

“Honda has teamed up with industry leaders who want to understand how to best provide in-vehicle services to our customers,” said John Moon, managing director, Strategic Partnerships, Honda Innovations. “These collaborations are important to test consumer desire so we can understand how to mutually serve our customers.”

Partnering with leading brands on voice-enabled driver applications

Honda Dream Drive is both voice and touch enabled, providing users with convenient, safe and easy access to services. Honda collaborated with a host of industry leaders – Atom Tickets, Chevron U.S.A. Inc., The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®, Grubhub, Glympse, iHeartRadio, IPS Group, Arrive, Parkopedia, Phillips 66, Yelp, and USAA – for its voice enabled, driver dashboard for parking, gasoline payment, restaurant reservations, ticketing, audio, location sharing, and rewards.

“We’re constantly looking at market-leading channels to deliver the Atom Tickets experience to consumers,” said Matthew Bakal, chairman and co-founder of Atom Tickets. “Teaming with Honda on Dream Drive to deliver next-generation passenger and driver movie ticketing services was a natural fit since our companies share the same goal of bringing convenience and entertainment to the consumer. Innovation is at the forefront of our company’s DNA, and we hope consumers will enjoy seeing Atom pop up in more unexpected places in the future.”

Honda collaborated with AAA, DC, Entercom/RADIO.COM, the LEGO Group, Silvergate Media and the Octonauts team, and Univision Music to create its passenger dashboard for entertainment, education, travel, commerce and rewards experiences.

“We continuously explore the opportunities offered by new technologies to create fun and creative play experiences for children in various play environments, physical and digital,” said Tom Donaldson, senior vice president of Creative Play Lab at the LEGO Group. “This demo, while not a commercially available experience, is yet another way in which we aim to experiment with how children interact with LEGO play in a fun mixed-reality scenario.”

Expanded in-vehicle payment partnerships

Since 2016, Honda has worked with Visa to build and enhance the in-vehicle payment experience to make payments more convenient and secure.

“By continuing our partnership with Honda, a leader in automotive innovation, we are furthering the development of in-car commerce solutions that focus on security, safety, and convenience for the driver,” said Olabisi Boyle, vice president of IoT, Visa. “Combining Visa’s payment expertise and Honda’s expansive platform, we are one step closer to transforming the car in to a new epicenter for commerce.”

Now, Honda is expanding its in-vehicle payment collaboration to include Mastercard and PayPal. Collectively, Honda is working with these partners to create the vehicle experience of the future.

“From the comfort of their homes to the confines of their cars, people want to make purchases when they want and where they want,” said Sherri Haymond, executive vice president, Digital Partnerships, North America, Mastercard. “Our familiarity of shopping with mobile and voice-activated devices have created the expectation for almost every device to be a way to shop and pay. At Mastercard, we’re bringing our technology and experience to ensure these experiences are simple, intuitive and secure.”

Rewards Program for Honda customers

In an effort to create new value for vehicle ownership and use, Honda Developer Studio is user testing a new points-based rewards program to benefit drivers and passengers for using Honda products and services. Drivers and passengers can earn rewards points for participating in a variety of activities including purchasing services, watching and listening to media, and playing games.

“The gamification of everyday travel experiences with rewards points provides Honda with a unique opportunity to connect with its drivers and passengers, to establish a more personal engaging relationship with them, and to enhance customers’ daily lives with the automotive industry’s first frequent driving and riding program,” said Bryan Biniak, CEO of Connected Travel®. “Honda drivers and passengers earn points from common activities as well as extraordinary experiences created with market leading brands and developers, and then redeem their reward points at their favorite local and online retailers.”

Interested partners and innovators can meet with Honda Developer Studio and Connected Travel representatives at CES, January 8-11, 2019. To learn more about Honda Developer Studio, visit Developer.Hondainnovations.com and follow @HondaInnovation on Twitter.
