Tracked Machines North America, Inc. Announces the Release of the CarMover XL, the Most Technologically Advanced Automotive Equipment for Automotive Industry for Automotive Dealerships, Repair Facilities, Collision Centers, Parking Companies, Etc.

ATLANTA, Sept. 25, 2023  — Tracked Machines North America, Inc., is proud to announce the North American Release of the CarMoverXL into the North American Automotive Industry. The CarMover has been named the “The most Technological Advancement in made in the Automotive Industry!” No other equipment available has the capability to do this in this manner with ease.

The CarMoverXL, is operated by lithium-batteries and the machine maneuvers under a vehicle and picks a vehicle up by all four-wheels and then moves and transports the vehicle from one area to another. Outside to Inside a mechanic’s work area or from one parking spot to another.

This equipment is designed to be used by automobile dealers and repair service centers and body shops that have disabled or wrecked vehicles that need to be moved. The CarMoverXL has the ability to pick-up the heavy weighted EV’s and able to stretch-out to handle the long length of the most vehicles.

The Tracked Machines offers the CarMoverXL to Automotive Industry that helps move disable vehicles without having to touch the vehicle or the need of entry and keys.

The CarMoverXL® is new cutting-edge technology that brings a simple solution to complex problems related to fragile vehicle components and excessive vehicle weight. This machine solves the international problems associated with towing and transporting European Vehicles and Electric Vehicles (EV’s).

EV’s do not roll because they have no ability to shift into neutral and most often do not have winch-cable connection points that allow it to be pulled onto a flatbed. European vehicle undercarriages are made of soft-aluminum or magnesium alloy metals that easily bend the vehicle frame and EV’s possess lithium batteries that a wheel-lift wrecker cannot be used due to the damage they cause vehicle damages and EV thermal runaway fires have become such a major issue with the Automobile Industry.

The CarMoverXL® is the first electric machine designed to pick up vehicles by all four wheels. It is adaptable to meet all different vehicle sizes that are disabled on flat-paved surfaces. The machine is operated by lithium batteries and very user-friendly. This equipment is designed to pick up heavy electric vehicles or long wheel-base vehicles located on hard, flat surfaces like parking lots, inside repair facilities, warehouses, and body shops with cement or resin floors. The machine can maneuver vehicles in and out of tight areas or workspaces. Because it is electric, it does not emit exhaust or fumes, so it can conveniently be used indoors in body shops and warehouses.

Equally impressive, both the TowTrack® and the CarMover XL® can transport disabled vehicles up to 2.5 tons/2,500 kilograms without the need for keys or vehicle entry.

Tracked Machines North America, Inc. in Atlanta Georgia is the North America Distributor of the TowTrack, TowTrackXL, CarMoverXL and the Erclues Tracked Forklift. These machines are that is manufactured in Verona Italy. The TowTrack and CarMoverXL will be showcased at the 2023 SEMA Automotive Show in Las Vegas from October 31 to November 3, 2023. The TowTrack and CarMoverXL Machines are the “Most Technologically Advanced Automotive Equipment in the World!” and will change the Automotive Industry by solving the movement issues that plague the EV movement issues experienced by dealerships and repair facilities.

Bosch and Mercedes-Benz showcase automated valet parking at InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown hotel

Demonstration in hotel setting highlights dynamics of local deployments of highly automated parking technology

  • Automated valet parking technology from Bosch interacts with Mercedes- Benz vehicles at InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown
  • Demonstration of INTELLIGENT PARK PILOT and operated through a smartphone app
  • Low-speed automated maneuvers as step on path to highly automated parking
  • Consumers and parking garage operators benefit from use of automated parking technology.

LOS ANGELES– Drive a fully-electric, luxury vehicle up to the hotel at an iconic skyscraper in Los Angeles and simply let the vehicle park itself. This scenario will become a reality in a demonstration of automated valet parking at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown featuring the EQS sedan from Mercedes-EQ. It is the first demonstration of infrastructure-based automated valet parking in a hotel setting in the United States.

Automated valet parking technology from Bosch and Mercedes-Benz is at the core of the demonstration in Los Angeles. It features INTELLIGENT PARK PILOT in the Mercedes-Benz EQS and integration with the smartphone app as part of a holistic demonstration of the future vehicle experience for consumers.

The demonstration is operated in conjunction with InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown, an 889-room property located in the tallest building west of Chicago.

“The demonstration at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown will showcase how automated valet parking will operate in a working hotel environment where both automated and non-automated vehicles operate alongside pedestrian traffic,” said Dr. Kay Stepper, senior vice president of automated driving and driver assistance for Bosch in North America. “This allows us to dive into the dynamics of local deployments with the use of a highly-connected EQS from Mercedes-EQ to demonstrate how automated technology continues to move forward.”

“Our vision is that getting time back is a key component of the luxury experience our customers are looking for. The EQS gives you time back by driving itself in traffic jams on highways, but with INTELLIGENT PARK PILOT, it may also be able park itself,” says Dr. Philipp Skogstad, president & CEO of Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America. He adds: “INTELLIGENT PARK PILOT is a feature that together with the required infrastructure enables an automated valet service that gives customers even more comfort and relief in everyday life.”

Mercedes showcases INTELLIGENT PARK PILOT

The demonstration features the EQS, showcasing automated valet parking using its existing hardware that is already preinstalled in vehicles such as the S-Class and EQS in Germany/Europe with the required optional equipment. The vehicle interacts with the Bosch intelligent infrastructure installed in the parking garage in order to enable the vehicle to drive and park itself at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown.

Sensors installed at the building will communicate with the vehicle and guide its maneuvering through the garage. The demonstration also highlights possibilities for additional services such as automated EV charging and a car wash where vehicles move in and out of service areas guided by the intelligent infrastructure.

In conjunction with the necessary optional equipment* and the corresponding Connect service (both depending on country), the EQS has the onboard technology to enter and leave multi-story parking facilities equipped with the Bosch automated valet parking infrastructure in highly automated mode and without a driver, provided that the corresponding Connect service is available and booked for the respective vehicle variant of the EQS and national legislation permits such operation.

Demonstration to utilize smartphone app as part of the holistic vehicle experience
The vision: The driver securely parks the vehicle in a designated drop-off area of the parking facility, and after all passengers have exited they start the parking procedure using the smartphone app. The sensor system in the car park checks whether a suitable space is available or was already reserved for the vehicle. If so, the automated valet parking infrastructure confirms the handover of the vehicle for the driver in the App, and he/she can leave the EQS and depart. The vehicle is then started automatically and moves driverless to its parking space with the help of the infrastructure installed in the parking facility. On returning, the driver can let the EQS drive to a designated pick-up area by smartphone command. This means less time searching for parking spots and walking from the parking garage to their destination.

A step on the path to fully automated driving

Automated parking technology showcases the benefits of automation to drivers by providing value to drivers by easing the burden of the parking experience.

“Low-speed maneuvers are part of the holistic opportunity for automated technology,” Stepper said. “Automated technology in the specific use case automated valet parking gets consumers comfortable with how automated technology works and how it can benefit them.”

Bosch engineering teams have been working over the past few years to further develop automated valet parking and support specific testing and deployments around the world.

Drivers and garage operators both benefit

Automated valet parking presents benefits on both sides of the parking experience. For consumers, they will no longer have to search for a parking space and can save time once they arrive to their destination. For parking garage operators, they can increase parking capacity as vehicles no longer need to have room to open doors on all sides as all occupants have already exited the vehicle. Furthermore, operators can offer services such as charging, washing or maintenance.

CityLift Parking Secures $22.5 Million Series C Funding With Dundon Capital Partners

OAKLAND, CA  – CityLift Parking (“CityLift”), the leading provider of automated parking lifts in the U.S., announced it has completed its Series C capital round with Dundon Capital Partners LLC (“DCP”). The investment is the largest completed for any U.S. automated parking lift company in the market today. Specific terms of the transaction were not disclosed. CityLift plans to use funds to accelerate its growth and invest in technology innovation to address the rapidly growing automated parking lift industry. John Zutter, Jason Kulas and Jeff Vanderbilt from DCP will be joining CityLift’s Board.

“We are delighted to be partnering with DCP,” says Scott Gable, CEO and co-founder of CityLift Parking. “This investment is a vote of confidence in CityLift as the leading player in the future of parking.”

This funding builds on an exceptional year for CityLift. CityLift was recognized by Inc. Magazine as the 66th fastest growing company in the United States and the fourth fastest growing company in the construction industry. With its CityLift Puzzle™ design, CityLift became the only company approved for semi-automated parking lift systems in Los Angeles. It completed the largest project in the country, a 235-space project in Oakland, CA, and the first 5-level puzzle lift in the U.S., in Nashville, TN. The company is building the first fully automated system in the Pacific Northwest and the first parking lift system in Salt Lake City.

“DCP’s experience with rapidly growing companies complements CityLift’s current capabilities and will allow it to expand into new markets and attract new customers” says Mike Ghielmetti, CityLift Board Member and co-founder.

The funding is also well timed to catch the industry growth wave. Automated parking lifts are rapidly being accepted by cities, developers, architects and builders as a means to use less space, build faster, and reduce cost versus building conventional parking.

“CityLift has demonstrated itself as a clear market leader in the parking space and fits well with our focus on opportunities with strong leadership, attractive and sustainable margins and secular growth trends. We are excited to partner with Scott and Mike and the team going forward.” says John Zutter, Partner of Dundon Capital Partners. Mr. Zutter will be joining CityLift’s Board as its Chairman.

In New Jersey, One Relies on Fully Automated Parking Systems from Achern, Germany

In New Jersey, One Relies on Fully Automated Parking Systems from Achern, Germany

Jersey City, 2020: A new residential and commercial building is currently being built on Oakland Avenue in Jersey City – and it will have a fully-automated car parking system with 181 parking spaces. The system with the stolzer brand name is designed and manufactured by Stopa Anlagenbau GmbH.

The company received the good news about the contract a few days ago. This is a resounding success for Stopa and its American cooperation partner Automotion (APS) – and still more proof of the convincing advantages of the sophisticated technology from the Achern-based company. The car parking system will considerably relieve the future parking situation on Oakland Avenue. Compared with conventional car parks, fully-automatic car parking systems can accommodate twice as many vehicles in the same space.

Residents in detached houses and blocks of flats in the area around Oakland Avenue in Jersey City, have been living next door to tradesmen, workshops and warehouses for decades. This is typical mixed area utilisation, well known in American cities. However, the face of the Oakland Avenue neighbourhood will change dramatically over the next few years – and the keyword is consolidation. Existing areas will be used more efficiently. A 15-storey commercial and residential building with a considerable floor area is being built on Oakland Avenue – and local residents are really worried that the parking problem will get worse. However, 181 parking spaces of the fully-automated system by Stopa will certainly ease the situation, at least here.

The universal car parking system, auto-UP for short, will be used in the building. Auto-UP extends over three levels and vehicles will be transferred to three transfer rooms. Two fully-automated storage and retrieval units are planned. They will convey vehicles safely and reliably to and from their parking places via the relevant transfer rooms. Drivers can also exit the building easily in their cars, because their vehicles are already facing in the direction of travel. The fully-automatic car parking systems from Stopa are characterised by long working lives, high levels of operational reliability and low maintenance costs. They are an investment for the future, not only in terms of total lifetime costs, but also for urban planners, architects, investors – and the future of our cities. With its stolzer brand name, Stopa is looking forward to the start of the project in Jersey City.

PARKPLUS: Manhattan’s Largest Automated Parking System Puts More Cars in Less Space

January 18, 2019

PARKPLUS: Manhattan’s Largest Automated Parking System Puts More Cars in Less Space

In the heart of New York City, where street parking is virtually impossible and real-estate is some of the most expensive in the world, a new, state-of-the art automated parking structure stores more cars in less space and less time, and eliminates parking lot accidents. The new facility, designed and built by PARKPLUS, is the largest automated parking system on Manhattan island. Opened December, 2018, it offers robotically operated parking and retrieval for patients and visitors of a large hospital complex on the east side of Manhattan. “Automated parking systems like this are an effective solution for urban areas where parking space is desperately needed,” states Ryan Astrup Director at PARKPLUS. ”A conventional drive-through garage needs wide aisles for turning and maneuvering the cars. The robotic system is much more efficient, eliminating the need for much of that space. It can make use of lots that might be too small for a drive-through garage. This system provides 119 spaces in approximately 30,000 sf on 4 floors. That’s up to 30% more cars than a conventional garage.”

The system is set up as Valet parking, but humans only perform a small portion of the process. Visitors hand their keys to a valet who drives it into the loading bay, but from then on, the automated system takes over.

The robotic transfer device, a low profile handling mechanism (dolly), travels below vehicles and moves them onto a shuttle that travels the fixed-rail system. The shuttle travels on a lift to one of the four upper floors of parking and transfers the car horizontally to a pre-determined stall, where the dolly unloads the car. Integrated software records all transactions and allows for remote monitoring for improved system performance and enhanced user experience. Vehicles can be parked in tandem up to 3-deep, and the system will automatically shuffle vehicles as needed. Retrieving the car is simply the same process in reverse, and takes only about 90 seconds in most cases.

Moreover, it’s integrated with the hospital’s information system. There are computer pads throughout the hospital where customers can pay for parking and initiate retrieval. The car can be brought down while the driver is still on her way to the parking structure, and is waiting when they arrive at the valet desk.

The parking system is contained within the walls of the hospital building. There is no “garage building” visible from the street. Systems of this type can also be built as free-standing structures, and can have an architectural facade applied to suit the surroundings.

The hospital’s valet set-up is an appropriate amenity, but robotic parking systems are user friendly enough that they can be operated without human valets. PARKPLUS has installed robotic parking in residential buildings where the entire parking process is handled automatically, and enabled with a mobile phone app. Drivers retrieve their cars by requesting them from the app, which works from anywhere via internet, and can even schedule a vehicle retrieval time in advance.

PARKPLUS is the leading provider of high-density parking solutions, including Mechanical Car Stackers, Semi- and Fully-Automated Parking Systems, and custom systems.  With experience on a multitude of international projects spanning half a century, PARKPLUS designs, manufactures, installs and maintains our patented solutions for a broad variety of commercial and residential applications. With unparalleled expertise in creating cutting-edge products and executing the most complex projects, Park Plus counts many world-renowned companies among its clientele.
