FLASH Acquires Ballparc Event Parking Management and Enforcement Solutions Provider

Acquisition integrates Ballparc’s parking products and platform with the market’s most dynamic end- to-end mobility hub operation system

Austin, Texas – June 22, 2022 – FLASH, the global leader in cloud parking software and mobility transformation, announced the acquisition of Ballparc, a leading developer of event parking revenue control and enforcement systems. The acquisition reinforces FLASH’s commitment to bringing parking asset owners and operators the tools to transform isolated parking assets into connected mobility hubs and participate in the emerging mobility marketplace.

Since the start of the pandemic, sports and entertainment venues have sought out an integrated and flexible solution to manage event parking inventory, including presales, season tickets, and drive-ups. The Ballparc acquisition expands FLASH’s position as the cloud-based solution provider for event venues of all sizes, looking for a cost-effective way to digitalize their operation. The acquisition also expands FLASH’s product portfolio for sports and entertainment assets alongside FLASH’s gated and ungated solutions, prior acquisition of ZipPark, and rapidly expanding partner network, including Ticketmaster, AXS, and Major League Baseball.

“Bringing the Ballparc team and their event and enforcement partners on board is another key step to expanding our parking and demand management platform for all types of assets,” stated Dan Sharplin, CEO and Executive Chairman of FLASH. “We admire the approach that Ballparc has taken with their customers over the last ten years and are committed to continued delivery of seamless experiences that grow and diversify their revenue.”

Ballparc launched its Ballparc Event product in 2012 and has remained a leader in providing a cost-effective, flexible system to manage event parking for local and community parking lot operators. Ballparc Event allows these operators to accept a variety of payment methods and make operational decisions based on real-time data to boost revenue and streamline operations. Two years later, the company launched Ballparc Enforcement to help operators upgrade legacy enforcement systems to a modern end-to-end violation management platform.

“A customer-innovation mindset, ability to quickly deploy customizable solutions, and providing a seamless experience are all areas where Ballparc and FLASH are 100 percent aligned,” said Taylor Chapman, CEO of Ballparc. “We are excited to join the FLASH family and look forward to continuing to provide our customers and more operators like them with the most innovative and productive parking management and enforcement technology platform in the industry.”

Today, FLASH powers over 10,000 customer locations across all major U.S. cities and Canada, processing over 15 million parkers per month and $1.5+ billion in annual transactions. Parking leaders trust Ballparc in 38 states and two Canadian provinces, including the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, KY, and Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, NY.

Ballparc Partners With Allpro Parking to Streamline Enforcement in Cincinnati, OH

Cloud-based parking enforcement platform helps operator improve collection rates, customer service, and operational efficiency

Cincinnati, OH  – Ballparc is pleased to announce the launch of its Enforcement solution with Allpro Parking in the operator’s Cincinnati, OH market. The cloud-based handheld system will allow Allpro to patrol their locations and issue citations efficiently, while providing its customers with a convenient online portal to navigate the citation process.

One of the ways the new system improves efficiency is a result of how the Enforcement mobile app combines location technology and paid vehicle data from a variety of sources to inform officers and managers. When officers arrive at a property, they can perform a “check-in”, which uses geofencing to create a verified record that the lot was patrolled.

After checking in, officers are presented with a complete list of vehicles that have paid and those that have expired, allowing them to quickly issue citations where necessary.

Managers can use this information to determine and verify enforcement schedules for the properties they manage. They can also track officer locations in a map view to increase visibility across teams and territories.

In addition to the mobile application, Allpro managers benefit from a real-time dashboard where they can handle all administrative tasks via a web browser. This includes managing customer disputes, generating client and operational reports, tracking vehicle histories and repeat offenders, and exporting outstanding citations to collection services.

“We’re very excited about partnering with Ballparc”, said Allpro manager Jeff Rice.  “As an operator, it is satisfying to know we have the proper procedures in place with solid data on the activity to meet the client’s expectations.  The accessibility to the reports is very efficient and detailed allowing for quick and easy payments, in real time!”

“We’re thrilled to partner with Allpro to help them improve operations and grow their footprint in the Cincinnati market”, said Ballparc CEO Taylor Chapman. “Our goal has always been to provide parking operators with the tools they need to create a great experience for their customers, their staff, and the clients they serve. We look forward to our continuing partnership with Allpro in pursuit of that goal.”

New platforms bring efficiency and convenience

Ballparc is pleased to announce the rollout of its solutions with Park Place Parking in the operator’s Columbus, Ohio market.  Ballparc Event, a versatile mobile point-of-sale for parking, will help Park Place provide a more convenient event parking experience to the Columbus community. The cloud-based system allows Park Place to offer guests a variety of payment methods, including credit cards, cash, prepaid parking reservations, and VIP lists. The new system facilitates a faster transaction time which will promote better traffic flow with less congestion. Management will also be able to make game-time adjustments with real-time visibility into space inventory during events to help navigate consumers to the right parking spot.

In addition, Park Place will use Ballparc’s smarter citation management platform, Enforcement, to patrol and manage their non-event operations. The system will allow Park Place to run their operation efficiently by having all paid vehicle information in the palm of their hand. Additionally, the system offers violators the ability to communicate with Park Place, review the citation details, and pay the offense from the same website online.

“Park Place is excited to partner with the Ballparc team to improve customer service in the Columbus, Ohio market,” said Shawn Compton, Park Place General Manager. “Park Place prides itself on bringing ingenuity, resourcefulness, and vision to our customers and clients.
