With this change Circontrol aims to provide a better response to market demands

Circontrol is a company with its own technology where innovation is a constant challenge and that is why it has undergone different changes in its twenty years of history. The first one was to abandon the security and fire detection sector to focus on mobility and efficiency in car parks and the manufacture of electric vehicle charging stations. eMobility was an incipient sector when Circontrol installed its first charging station in 2008 but now it has proved to be a key sector for mobility’s present and future.

Currently Circontrol has become a benchmark and has 25.000 recharging points installed worldwide and 450 parkings managed with its efficient management system. To continue offering products that adapt to these two markets in constant growth and transformation offering innovative products is not enough; it also requires an internal organization that suits the needs of the market.

From now on, CirPark, the division dedicated to mobility and efficiency in car parks, and CirCarLife, dedicated manufacture electric vehicle charging stations, will be two independent divisions with complete equipment dedicated to the product design and commercialization. This change aims to offer more innovative products, adapted to the needs of the market by providing the divisions with a more specialized staff. This internal division does not intend to untie the two new different teams; on the contrary, it aims to make them work together, both side by side, to achieve a better and more specialized final service.

CirCarLife will continue developing products that fit all market needs by offering a wider range of charging solutions and load management systems, a key point in a growing market such as emobility. CirPark will continue to innovate to achieve an increasingly efficient global car park management system that integrates traffic management, lighting and software.

Guidance system, illumination and existence of electric vehicle charging stations can be very important to increase costumer’s loyalty, safety and cost reduction

Park the car is, probably, the first thing to do when you arrive to a shopping center. That’s the reason why making this easier for the costumer could be a key issue to make them choose your mall instead of another. It’s important to notice too that car park management also represents a cost regarding its maintenance and its consumption. Having all this in mind, Circontrol has designed an efficient parking management global system that includes: guidance system (indoor and outdoor), LED lighting system, electric vehicle charging stations installation and all this managed with CirPark SCADA platform.

Guidance system

The first concern of a client that arrives at a shopping mall by car is finding, quickly and easily, a place to park his car. That’s why a Guidance System that allows finding empty spaces quickly, reducing the stress, saving time and fuel, reducing risks and improving mobility inside the parking is a key issue.

Circontrol offers all this with its CirPark Indoor Parking Guidance System, a powerful management tool that optimizes car park’s mobility giving to the users all the information that they need and guiding the driver to free spots in a quick an easy way.

CirPark includes among its features different vehicle detection technologies, a wide range of light indicators and informative displays, indicating free spaces and where to find them. All this combined with an easy and quick installation and adapted to all kind of supports.

Frequently these parking spaces are located outdoors. This growing need together with Circontrol’s experience gained working in indoor parking guidance system, has made possible CirPark Outdoor Guidance System. Among his features it includes an OTA (Over-The-Air) wireless system, remote sensor’s list management, adjustable environment learning process and a filter of environment noise.

LedPark, increasing efficiency while reducing costs

Lighting is another key issue to improve costumer’s experience. This is critical to create a more comfortable environment and a greater sense of security, with the resulting increase of costumer’s loyalty. The right choice regarding lighting it’s also important for the parking operator because it can result in an important cost reduction. A first step would be choosing LED lighting, cheaper and more efficient, but Circontrol goes one step further with its LedPark System.

LedPark is an intelligent lighting system that, integrated with CirPark Guidance and Occupancy System, adjusts the luminosity regarding schedule and vehicle’s and people’s flow. With this system the reduction in consumption and costs, installation, maintenance and emergency lighting is much bigger than with other traditional lighting systems. This system can lead to a reduction from 74% to 84% of energetic consumption compared to a system with fluorescent lights.

Among the success stories you can find shopping malls such as the Pavillion, the most important in Durban (South Africa) with an area of 120.000 square meters, 1.8 million visitors each month and 2.644 parking lots. In Latin America there are Jockey Plaza, a shopping mall located in Lima with 230 shops and 1.826 parking slots; and ÁGORA Mall, the first shopping center in the Caribbean certified under the parameters of Leadership and Environmental Design LEED ad with 2.571 parking slots. And you can find it also in Abdali Mall, shopping and leisure center located in Amman, Jordan’s capital, with an area of 227.000 square meters and 2.435 parking slots. Circontrol’s LedPark, the inteligent LED lighting system that revolutionizes efficient parking concept

Lighting plays a key role in parking management in two important aspects: the cost, including consumption and maintenance, and users experience, which results in customer’s loyalty. That’s why LED lighting is a key technology for parking lighting because it gets a better lighting for each parking lot while reducing the energy use and, therefore, the cost.

Circontrol has been working on LED lighting for car parks for a while but with LedPark it goes one step further creating a new concept with an intelligent lighting and management system integrated with CirPark Guidance and Occupancy System for car parks. This system adjusts the luminosity regarding vehicles’ and people’s flow and schedule obtaining a cost reduction in energy use, installation, maintenance and emergency lighting much higher than with other traditional lighting systems.

Among the advantages of Circontrol’s LedPark system there’s the cost reduction. LED technology represents a 60% saving on energy use and LEDs lifespan is ten times higher than fluorescent light lifespan.

For a car park with 100 parking lots that uses LedPark system the consumption would be 12.709 Kwh in its maximum use and just 5.086 in its regulated use, representing a reduction of energy consumption between 74% and 89% compared with the use of fluorescent lighting (depending on if LedPark is on maximum or regulated use).

Circontrol’s LedPark also represents a saving in maintenance and emergency system because our system performs this function.

LedPark improvements are not only economical; it also increases customer’s loyalty. LED lighting creates a more pleasant and comfortable environment for the users with a lighting management regarding schedule, occupancy and vehicle’s and people flow. All this managed by SCADA software and CirPark Guidance and Occupancy system that works together with LedPark in a common installation and amortization. An amortization that will take place in 2 or 3 years, depending on energy costs.
