Industry leaders join EasyPark ANZ

EasyPark ANZ has announced two significant additions to its team as the organisation consolidates its place as Australia’s most used pay-by-phone app.

Robert Di Cristo joins as EasyPark General Manager, Smart Cities and Steve Hargitay comes on board as General Manager, Off Street Parking.

“We are delighted to welcome both Robert and Steve to the EasyPark family,” said EasyPark CEO, Eli Grossinger Binshtok.

“Their skills and experience will complement our already well-established team and enable EasyPark to further build our customer base.

“The local parking industry is tight and highly competitive, and to encourage the likes of Robert and Steve to join us is a great reflection of our standing in the industry,” Mr Grossinger Binshtok said.

Robert Di Cristo brings close to twenty years of experience to the role, having started his career as a supervisor, maintaining parking meters and equipment in Sydney.

“I’m still as excited about the industry as when I first started. I find it fascinating. Parking is such an important and yet underrated part of making our cities more livable. The parking industry has come so far, and it still has so much to offer.

“This sector is continually changing. Many drivers do not realise just how highly technical, innovative and smart the technology that supports the parking industry is. I’m looking forward to working with councils and Parking Operator customers to help them save money and improve business efficiencies,” Mr Di Cristo said.

Steve Hargitay has been continuously involved in the parking industry since 1984. He’s been a business development manager since day one and founded, and owned, both GoParking and Greenco Parking.

“The Australian parking industry is rapidly evolving. New technologies have given motorists choice and the ability to pay for parking on their own terms.

“Whether people are parking on the street or at airports or hospitals, drivers expect, and deserve, a seamless, simple and user-friendly parking experience. I’m looking forward to working with the EasyPark team to provide simple entry and exit solutions for off street parking,” Mr Hargitay said.

With close to 3 million users, the EasyPark App is the most used parking app in Australia. The company operates in four capital cities, having recently confirmed its partnership with the City of Perth, in addition to established relationships in Canberra, Hobart and Melbourne. Additionally, EasyPark works with more than 70 councils including the City of Newcastle (NSW), Gold Coast Council (QLD), City of Greater Geelong (VIC) and Cairns Regional Council (QLD) to name a few.

EasyPark ANZ’s General Manager, Craig Logan, says Robert and Steve will play important roles in securing future business opportunities.

“We have a great team at EasyPark already, and the addition of Robert and Steve only adds to our credentials. They bring a lot to the team, not just because of their considerable market experience, but because they are go-getters, well connected and relationship builders. They’ve already hit the ground running and are making a positive impact.

“As the EasyPark brand expands across the country, and as more councils, Parking Operators, businesses and individuals utilise the App, we are ensuring we have the best people on board to provide the best service,” Mr Logan said.

The EasyPark App works alongside current coin/card meters. It is easy to use and can be downloaded from the Apple and Android stores.

To use the EasyPark App, drivers simply set the start and end time on their phone and if they want to end or extend their parking session, they do so via the App, without having to return to the vehicle, only paying for the time they use. The FIND mapping service enables drivers to locate vacant parking spaces before commencing their journey.

Business customers can receive a single, consolidated, monthly invoice direct to the accounts department, freeing up on-road reps from tedious form filling and because the system is ticketless, tonnes of printed paper is prevented from going to landfill.
