Engineered Products Company Unveils LED RetroFit Conversion Kit

October 05, 2016

Engineered Products Company (EPCO)  Unveils LED RetroFit Conversion Kit

Low cost LED Conversion Kit turns older 4-foot and 8-foot T8 or T12 fixtures into LED luminaires.

MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 4, 2016—Engineered Products Company (EPCO), a supplier of specialty lighting and wiring consumable products for electrical contractors, today announced the introduction of its new LED RetroFit Conversion Kit that provides a complete, low-cost lighting upgrade solution to convert “strip-type” fluorescent fixtures into energy efficient LED luminaires that reduce energy consumption and improve energy management.

“Our new LED RetroFit Conversion Kit is a simple upgrade for energy efficient illumination systems,” said EPCO President Jack Schuster. “The kit is the most cost effective LED illumination system on the market. There’s no need to buy new LED luminaires. The retrofit conversion from fluorescent to LED lighting is fast and easy. The kits are DLC Designed Lights Consortium (DLC) approved and LED Lighting Facts certified. The kit includes high quality components and an attractive design that makes the retrofit look like a new LED luminaire at a fraction of the cost.”

Accessory options for the LED Conversion RetroFit Kit include:
· The RFK Installation Tool
· A one-piece, snap-on polycarbonate UV stabilized frosted diffuser provides even lumen distribution without glare, shadows, or hot spots, and is easily removable for cleaning.
· An Emergency LED Backup Driver provides 90+ minutes of emergency lighting for egress applications.
· Occupancy sensors to control lighting operations in commercial and industrial applications, or as an energy management solution to reduce energy consumption in low occupancy areas.

EPCO recommends using the RFK Installation Tool (sold separately) which includes two labor-and time-saving “magnetic” suspension devices used to expedite installation saving time and labor expenses for the installer. The tool supports one-man installation, even when retrofitting an 8-foot strip fixture and eliminates the use of string, tie wire, nylon straps, and other temporary suspension methods.

EPCO’s Second-Generation ProSeriesTM LED Utility Luminaires Offer Unbridled Versatility

Cutting-edge technology and the Energy Star Rating makes the ProSeries ideal for environments where dust and moisture protection is needed.

MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 14, 2015—Engineered Products Company (EPCO), a supplier of specialty lighting and wiring consumable products for electrical contractors, announced today that it has released the next generation of its Energy-Star rated ProSeries LED Utility LuminaireTM. Highly versatile luminaire offers unparalleled performance, improved efficacy, virtually no lumen maintenance, and is ideal for a variety of indoor, outdoor and wet locations.

“The second-generation ProSeries LED Utility Luminaire is an energy-efficient, cost-effective lighting solution designed to meet the needs of commercial, industrial and agricultural buildings where dust and moisture can reduce the longevity of luminaires,” said EPCO President Jack Schuster. “It’s the ideal lighting solution for everything from swine barns to storage areas and from athletic fields, tunnels, and walk-in freezers.”

The newer, more advanced version of the ProSeries LED Utility Luminaire produces 1200+ lumens, the equivalent of 75 watts of incandescent lumen output, yet consumes only 15 watts of electricity. With a luminaire efficacy of 79 lm/W, the ProSeries provides dramatically better visibility at an affordable cost.

In addition, the ProSeries LED Utility Luminaire is dimmable down to 10 percent of its rated output. ETL listed, it meets UL 1598 Standards and operates in ambient temperatures ranging from -4°F to 113°F (20°C to 45°C). The ProSeries is easy to install and includes a five-year, 50,000-hour limited warranty.

“Another benefit of the second generation ProSeries LED Utility Luminaire—one that makes it ideal for wet locations—is silicone gaskets that protect against the ingress of moisture and dust,” Schuster added. “And the innovative black “E” coat material on the luminaire’s cast-aluminum heat sink will never rust or corrode—even in the harshest environments.”

Rebates, both prescriptive and custom, are available to reduce overall installed cost; building owners and contractors should check with their electric utilities and co-ops to learn more.
