eleven-x’s eXactpark Solution Selected by the City of Guelph to Improve Parking Access and Urban Mobility

November 30, 2022

eleven-x’s eXactpark Solution Selected by the City of Guelph to Improve Parking Access and Urban Mobility

The solution will provide real-time space status availability and intelligent enforcement to help residents and visitors more easily find parking and reduce traffic

WATERLOO, Ontario, November, 30, 2022 — eleven-x, a global leader providing complete, high-performance, wireless IoT and Smart City solutions, today announced it was selected by the City of Guelph to help the municipality improve the management and oversight of their two-hour free parking program by implementing the company’s innovative eXactpark™ solution. eleven-x’s smart parking solution enables comprehensive parking monitoring via a real-time sensor-based stall occupancy technology and a comprehensive software and parking intelligence platform to enable effective management of the city’s parking assets.

The City of Guelph is a vibrant community of over 143,000 people situated in the heart of southern Ontario with a thriving city center. eXactpark will enable the city to better manage its limited parking resources and reduce traffic congestion by providing  real-time parking stall occupancy data, and software to use this data to manage parking assets and implement advanced intelligent enforcement capabilities.

The comprehensive solution incorporates eleven-x’s award winning, patent pending SPS-X sensor, which provides the stall occupancy data to the eXactpark software suite.  The sensor utilizes multiple technologies including magnetic sensing, radar, Bluetooth, along with advanced edge processing,  to provide industry-leading battery life, reliability and most importantly accuracy. Sensors will be installed in two phases, starting with 250 stalls across the municipality’s unique downtown district, with an additional 1,750 projected to be deployed throughout the city to provide advanced real-time analytics of key parking metrics. The eXactpark software suite not only provides parking intelligence software to the city but  will also enable intelligent parking enforcement capabilities so the city can improve its monitoring capabilities for its two-hour free parking program. The sensors will detect how long vehicles are parked in, a space and will be used to enforce the free two-hour limit and to inform longer-term planning for parking needs.

“Many municipalities have free parking policies. It is typically challenging to efficiently monitor, manage and ensure usage compliance for a resource that is offered free of charge. This makes it difficult to maintain the best experience for drivers, since it leads to excessive traffic, and frustrates residents, visitors and ultimately the small business owners who rely on them” said Dan Mathers, President and CEO of eleven-x. “the capabilities that eXactpark provides, including real-time availability and intelligent enforcement, will help the City of Guelph to streamline parking operations, resulting in cost savings,  while at the same time reducing traffic and improving access to downtown businesses.”

eXactpark’s intelligent enforcement and real-time status and monitoring capabilities are essential to the city as it helps reduce cruise times, improves road safety and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. The data and insights provided by the smart parking solution will also provide the City of Guelph actionable insights to help with parking asset planning and dynamic pricing initiatives.

“This technology will help make parking downtown easier and more convenient. Eventually, this data will be available on our website so visitors will know – in real time – how many parking spaces are available before they head downtown. These sensors will also improve road safety and lower greenhouse gas emissions across the city.” said Jamie Zettle, Program Manager, Parking at the City of Guelph. “We decided to partner with eleven-x since we have seen the successful deployment of the company’s eXactpark solution in multiple major cities and institutions across North America.”

eXactPark uses LoRaWAN®, a low-power technology that offers a 10-year battery life and minimal maintenance. For more information on eleven-x’s eXactpark solution please visit exactpark.com.

Beam Global Receives $2.9M Order from U.S. Department of Homeland Security for Sustainable EV Charging Infrastructure Products*

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 14, 2022  — Beam Global, (Nasdaq: BEEM, BEEMW), the leading provider of innovative sustainable products and technologies for electric vehicle (EV) charging, energy storage, energy security and outdoor media, announced that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has ordered 32 Beam EV ARC™ sustainable off-grid charging systems and 3 ARC Mobility™ trailers for efficient system transport. The systems will be deployed across 8 locations for Customs Border Patrol (CBP), Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). EO 14057 Catalyzing Clean Energy Industries and Jobs Through Federal Sustainabilityprioritizes federal investment in energy resilient infrastructure for EV charging, powered by locally produced and delivered renewable energy for America’s next generation electricity supply. The purchase was made through the General Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) Contract Number 47QSWA21D0006 which simplifies the federal procurement process and ensures best pricing.

The DHS charging systems will be deployed in Georgia, Maryland, New Mexico, South Carolina, and 4 locations in Puerto Rico. The Beam EV ARC™ systems are off-grid and powered by renewable energy, generating and storing their own clean electricity. Each system is deployed with no construction, no electrical work, no utility connection, and is delivered as a turnkey sustainable charging system that is rapidly deployed. Because EV ARC™ systems are flood proof to 9.5 feet and wind rated to 125 mph, and have survived much higher wind speeds in the field, they are particularly well suited to provide disaster preparedness in environments like Puerto Rico. The ARC Mobility™ trailer is a specialized hydraulic transport system designed to efficiently relocate EV ARC™ charging systems.

“Our products are perfect for Executive Order (14057) for a Clean Energy Economy: resilient, clean, sustainable and rapidly deployed EV charging infrastructure solutions,” said Desmond Wheatley, Beam Global CEO. “We continue to see increasing federal GSA orders and pipeline opportunities citing federal initiatives. Our sustainable EV charging solutions create American manufacturing jobs to build American made products that serve zero emission transportation with 100% locally generated renewable and resilient energy.”

The federal fleet is comprised of approximately 657,500 vehicles. President Biden’s Executive Order 14057 with its accompanying Federal Sustainability Plan calls for 100% zero-emission vehicle acquisitions by 2035, including 100% light-duty acquisitions by 2027. This is prioritizing and accelerating a Federal Clean Electricity and Vehicle Procurement Strategy, calling for clean and zero emissions vehicles (ZEVs) for federal, state, local and tribal government fleets, including vehicles of the United States Postal Service.

Beam products can be procured through the General Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) Contract Number 47QSWA21D0006 which simplifies the federal procurement process and ensures best pricing.

Blink Charging and Veris Residential to Offer Haus25 Residents in New Jersey Access to State-of-the-Art EV Charging Stations

September 12, 2022

Blink Charging and Veris Residential to Offer Haus25 Residents in New Jersey Access to State-of-the-Art EV Charging Stations

Sustainability-Focused Luxury Apartment Building will be Equipped with 24 EV Charging Ports

Miami Beach, Fla. & Jersey City, N.J., Sept. 12, 2022  — Blink Charging Co. (Nasdaq: BLNK, BLNKW) (“Blink”), a leading owner, operator, and provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment and services, and Veris Residential, Inc., a forward-thinking, environmentally and socially conscious REIT that primarily owns, operates, acquires, and develops Class A multifamily properties, today announced the deployment of 24 of Blink’s EV charging ports at Veris Residential’s newly-built, sustainability-focused, luxury apartment high-rise Haus25, located at 25 Christopher Columbus Drive in Jersey City, NJ.

“Most EV drivers want to be able to charge their EV’s where they live and Veris Residential is helping them do just that,” said Brendan Jones, president at Blink Charging. “We are honored to work with Veris Residential to provide a valuable service to their residents and look forward to our continued relationship with them to bring more EV charging stations to other Veris Residential sites.”

As the only complete, end-to-end global EV charging provider, delivering advanced technology solutions for all EV customers—including consumers, fleets, businesses, retailers, developers, and municipalities—Blink’s unique owner-operator model provides customers and partners with industry-leading charging stations for every location and a 360-degree solution that they can rely on in a rapidly evolving market. By partnering with Blink to provide Haus25 residents with access to EV charging ports, Veris Residential is supporting its mission of being a responsible, sustainable, inclusive, and equitable member of the built environment.

“Veris Residential is thrilled to cooperate with Blink, an innovative provider of fast and effective EV charging solutions, as we continue to redefine environmentally-friendly living,” said Karen Cusmano, Senior Vice President, Head of Sustainability and ESG at Veris Residential. “As the first U.S. real estate company to sign the Climate Group’s EV100 initiative and commit to installing EV charging across our portfolio by 2030, partnering with Blink to bring these stations to Haus25 takes us one step closer to achieving our goal of increasing EV charging capacity for our residents.”

While studies have shown that up to 85% of EV charging happens at home, to date, a limited number of apartments and condominiums have offered such access to their residents. In light of the potential of providing EV charging to the estimated 80 million Americans currently living in multiunit buildings, Blink is seeking to meet a need desired by EV drivers while helping to move the U.S. forward in its decarbonization goals. Specifically, by offering the most flexibility in the industry, Blink’s personalized and strategic business models allow customers to achieve their goals, whether that means owning, partnering with, or hosting their charging infrastructure.

To this end, Blink has installed 12 IQ 200 dual chargers at Haus25, providing 24 charging ports for residents and visitors of the complex. Blink IQ 200, the fastest Level 2 AC charging station available, produces 80 amps of output that provide approximately 65 miles of charge per hour and is compatible with any battery-electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle. When fully implemented at Haus25, the building will deliver yet another best-in-class amenity that meets the environmentally conscious lifestyle preferences for today’s residents, as well as standards required to achieve LEED Silver certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Additional sustainable amenities featured at Haus25 include: SOURCE hydropanels, which use solar technology to harness water in the air; WaterSense labeled fixtures, which maximize water flow efficiency; bioretention swales, to collect runoff water and percolate the soil; and energy efficient power units which convert natural gas into electricity and heat while also providing on-site generation. The building is also completely smoke-free, uses enhanced indoor air quality measures, offers more than 37,000 square feet of garden and outdoor spaces and provides residents with access to Logical Buildings’ app that shares real-time energy usage and carbon footprint data to improve efficiency.

INF Associates, a turnkey EVSE installer and energy consultant, worked with Blink and Veris Residential to execute the installation of the IQ 200 chargers—capturing incentives for Veris Residential through PSE&G’s Clean Energy Future – Electric Vehicle (EV) Program and the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities MUD grants—funding that was instrumental in developing an EVSE strategy for Haus25 and its residents.

Beam Global Receives Sustainability Initiative of the Year Award

Beam Global wins for Flying on Sunshine world record, proving zero emissions aviation is here

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 07, 2022 — Beam Global, (Nasdaq: BEEM, BEEMW), the leading provider of innovative sustainable products and technologies for electric vehicle (EV) charging, energy storage, energy security and outdoor media, announced receiving the Sustainability Initiative of the Year award from the Business Intelligence Group in the 2022 Sustainability Awards program. The Sustainability Awards honor those people, teams and organizations who have made sustainability an integral part of their business practice or overall mission.

Beam Global set the world record for the longest flight in a production electric aircraft powered by off-grid, renewable solar energy, proving zero emissions aviation is here.

Starting in Fresno, the Pipistrel Alpha Electro aircraft flew across Central California with stops in Madera, Merced, Modesto and Lodi before following the same flight path back to Fresno. Beam Global partnered with Pilot Joseph Oldham, Founder and CEO of New Vision Aviation, to make the trip possible. EV ARC™ electric vehicle charging equipment was rapidly deployed at several airports, and in some cases relocated during the record breaking effort, to support the multi-leg flight, demonstrating that airports can support the electrification of aviation without construction, electrical work or large utility charges.

“This historic world record marked the start of a new chapter for zero emissions aviation while breaking down the barriers to rapid adoption of commercially available clean aircraft. Our products make airport charging infrastructure available now, ushering in a new level of aviation access for rural and suburban denizens,” said Beam Global CEO Desmond Wheatley. “There are around twenty thousand public and private airports across the U.S. and we want to make clean, impact free charging infrastructure available to all of them.”

“We are proud to reward and recognize Beam Global for their sustainability efforts,” said Maria Jimenez, Chief Nominations Officer, Business Intelligence Group. “It was clear to our judges that their vision and strategy will continue to deliver results toward a cleaner, more sustainable world. Congratulations!”

“I’m thrilled Beam Global was recognized for our record-setting flight. It was a defining milestone for sustainable aviation and for establishing the Central Valley as a forward-thinking region for propelling the electrification of aviation ahead at an accelerated pace,” said Pilot Joseph Oldham, Founder and CEO of New Vision Aviation. “Our goal with this accomplishment was to raise awareness of the urgent need for more clean transportation options—and show the world that it is possible.”

Non-profit New Vision Aviation sees California’s Central Valley as an emerging innovation hub for the electrification of aviation and oversees educational programs for disadvantaged youth to inspire and train them for careers in clean aviation.

Currently, 61% of electricity from the grid in the U.S. is sourced from fossil fuels and 29% of greenhouse gas emissions comes from the transportation sector according to a U.S. EPA report on Sources of Greenhouse Gas Emissions. As the momentum behind the electrification of transportation continues to grow globally, this world record highlights the coming renewable revolution of air travel ushering in a new era of clean transportation.

Beam Global Adds Oil and Gas Multinational to Its Customer List

Beam Global Adds Oil and Gas Multinational to Its Customer List

SAN DIEGO — Beam Global, (Nasdaq: BEEM, BEEMW), the leading provider of innovative sustainable products and technologies for electric vehicle (EV) charging, energy storage, energy security and outdoor media, announced that a global top 40 company in the oil and gas industry has begun using the company’s EV ARC™ system to provide workplace charging.

EV ARC™ systems fit in a standard parking space, without reducing available parking, and are equipped with factory installed, ready to charge EV charging stations. Each EV ARC™ system generates and stores its own clean electricity and delivers that electricity to power EVs, day or night, and during inclement weather and power outages. The transportable but permanent systems include an optional Emergency Power Panel for first responder use during blackouts or in locations where there is no utility connection available.

“Oil and gas companies are increasingly becoming broader energy companies as they look to a future beyond using oil as a transportation fuel,” said Beam Global CEO Desmond Wheatley. “That transition is happening faster than many initially anticipated so rapid deployment is a driving force for many of our customers in both the private and public sectors. As more organizations experience the extended times, unpredictable costs and operational disruptions associated with in-ground chargers, they increasingly realize the value of simple, rapid deployment of EV ARC systems. We view the oil and gas sector as a very important growth opportunity and we are delighted to welcome this new and very large player to our growing family of happy customers.”

Requiring no connection to the utility grid, Beam Global products eliminate disruptive construction projects, costly electric circuit upgrades and utility charges to deliver significant long-term savings to customer budgets. They are ideal for locations where there may be hazardous materials below the ground making trenching and foundation work highly risk prone. Because there is no grid connection, EV charging systems are rapidly deployed, readily relocated and can be placed in locations where they are needed most.

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) provides nearly $370 billion in climate change investments to help reduce carbon emissions by 40 percent by 2030. It provides significant tax breaks for businesses that purchase new or used medium and heavy-duty electric vehicles and new EV chargers. This includes an Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Credit for 30% of total costs of purchase and installation of charging equipment, up to $100,000 per charger.

Blink Charging Provides the City of Chula Vista, CA with Fast Public EV Chargers

31 IQ 200 EV chargers will be installed in 5 city locations, providing greater access and reliability for residents and visitors

Miami Beach, FL, Aug. 19, 2022  — Blink Charging Co. (Nasdaq: BLNK, BLNKW) (“Blink”), a leading owner, operator, and provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment and services, announced that an agreement has been signed with the City of Chula Vista, California to install 31 Blink IQ 200 fast Level 2 charging stations in various locations within the city. The five-year agreement with automatic renewals reaffirm the city’s and Blink’s commitment to providing accessible, reliable, and fast EV charging infrastructure throughout the community. Blink will own and operate the EV chargers.

Chula Vista was an early adopter of EV charging technologies first deploying Blink EV chargers in 2012. As the city’s electric vehicle use expands, Blink continues to make servicing their existing EV chargers and bringing more chargers online, a priority as they prepare for what is expected to be ongoing widespread EV adoption by residents and visitors.

“Providing EV charging for Chula Vista is a key step to support Chula Vista’s climate action goals to increase the adoption of alternative fuel vehicles,” said Chula Vista’s Environmental Sustainability Manager Coleen Wisniewski. “Ensuring existing EV chargers can properly operate is essential to our region and to reaching our local and state goals.”

The EV charging infrastructure also supports the goals of the state of California to get 5 million zero-emission vehicles on the road by 2030. The California Governor’s recent executive order directs the state to require that, by 2035, all new cars and passenger trucks sold in California be zero-emission vehicles.

“We are delighted that Chula Vista continues to be forward leaning when it comes to the future of transportation. California has been a leader in the adoption of electric vehicles and through this upgrade agreement, Chula Vista carries that forward regarding infrastructure development. With the new Blink IQ 200s, Chula Vista residents can have confidence that their city’s charging infrastructure is well positioned to meet their charging needs today and to serve the EVs of tomorrow,” commented Brendan Jones, President of Blink Charging.

Blink’s IQ 200 units are among the fastest level 2 AC charging stations available on the market, with a maximum output of 80 amps. The Blink IQ 200 chargers have been well received by leading EV industry experts.
