Fleet Advantage Maximizes Presence At TMC 2022 With Expert Panelist On M&R And Offers Fleet Modernization Analysis and Immediate Solutions for Fleets

Brian Antonellis, CTP and SVP Fleet Operations Presents On In-House or Outsourced M&R Strategies

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (March 3, 2022) – Fleet Advantage, a leading innovator in truck fleet business analytics, equipment financing, and life cycle cost management (LCCM), announced today that Brian Antonellis, CTP and Senior Vice President of Fleet Operations will present at the ATA’s Technology & Maintenance Council’s 2022 Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition, March 7-10, in Orlando, Florida. In addition to Antonellis’ speaking session, Fleet Advantage will acknowledge National Asset Management Awareness Month in March by offering complimentary fleet modernization studies for fleets at the conference at booth #824.

The heavy-duty truck transportation fleet industry continues to deal with a host of challenges carrying over from 2021, including driver shortages, logistical changes due to a fluctuating pandemic environment, and asset management hurdles that continue to impact organizational bottom lines.

Scheduled as Technical Session #3 on Thursday, March 10th at 8:00 am, Antonellis will drill down into maintenance and repair (M&R) strategies that can help fleets determine when to keep M&R in-house or outsource. An expert panel will discuss all the factors that go into these M&R decisions. With the ever-growing complexity of commercial vehicle equipment and increasing struggle of attracting and retaining technicians, even fleets that have historically utilized in-house maintenance strategies are reconsidering their approach today.

Innovation Driving Americas Businesses Forward

Resourceful transportation fleets recognize the need for flexibility during these unprecedented times of equipment shortage and delays. In addition to Antonellis’ insight, attendees and fleet transportation executives can visit the company at booth #824 for a complimentary Comparative Cost Analysis and learn how Fleet Advantage can help their company to analyze and benchmark their fleet costs and emissions scorecard and develop a strategy to modernize their fleet.

Innovative programs, such as Fleet Advantage’s aggressive Sale-Leaseback program allows organizations to select the assets from their fleet that are older models and Fleet Advantage will purchase those assets over current Book Value and lease them back to the fleet for an interim period until they place an order and transition to new equipment when available. Utilizing a Sale-Leaseback can increase cash for immediate needs like the driver shortage or extra working capital without damaging long-term procurement goals due to build slot limitations.

“Flexibility is no longer just a consideration for transportation fleets, it’s now an extremely critical business strategy,” said Brian Antonellis, CTP, Senior Vice President of Fleet Operations at Fleet Advantage. “From maintenance and repair decisions to life cycle utilization philosophies, the leading fleets of the post-Coronavirus era will recognize the need to leverage flexibility in driving their businesses forward.”

Fleet Advantage Announces Exceeding Over $2.5 Billion in Lease Originations Since Inception; Now Serves As The Largest Class-8 Independent Lessor

Company’s Focus on Asset Management and Lease Flexibility Planning Helped Customers Avoid Procurement Challenges That Plagued Broader Industry in 2021

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.  – Fleet Advantage, a leading innovator in truck fleet business analytics, equipment financing, and life cycle cost management (LCCM) announced today new milestones achieved in exceeding over $2.5 billion in lease originations over the last ten years and helping it become the largest independent lessor for heavy-duty Class-8 trucks.

Strategic & Consistent Asset Management

A primary reason Fleet Advantage reached these accomplishments was its continued emphasis on helping clients remain steady and consistent in their asset management and planning. The company’s pioneering focus on the use of advanced data analytics, coupled with its early truck lease exchange program EXchangeIT® and lease extension flexibility helped clients stay ahead of the procurement turbulence felt across much of the broader industry.

Heading into 2022, there remain new challenges companies with transportation fleets must tackle to remain successful within the competitive industries in which they operate. With over 90% of their leases rated as investment grade, Fleet Advantage’s strong emphasis on strategic consultations and customer service, along with key relationships with Equipment Manufacturers, dealers and finance partners, have helped the company achieve a consistent growth rate over the last ten years of 27%. The company is now working with 5 of the top 10 private fleets in the country.

“Relative to the greater industry challenges, we’re fortunate to reflect on the record-setting accomplishments and achievements we had over the last twelve months,” said John Flynn, CEO of Fleet Advantage. “Our success during this time is a testament to the hard work of our dedicated associates, and our customers who operate under a business philosophy that embraces flexibility in their asset management strategies.”

Maintaining Long-Term Strategies

Fleet Advantage strongly believes that clients that have leveraged the power of data analytics for asset management and procurement, along with flexible lease solutions should continue to maintain this strategy with only minor course corrections as the industry continues to navigate additional procurement challenges. The company believes fleets should stay true to their beliefs and not surrender or be held captive to the current supply chain disruption. Fleets that maintain planning discipline through what has been confirmed by data analytics will continue to lead the industry, especially since the laws of science and economics will not be compromised because of current supply chain disruptions.

“While some in the industry are using fear to pressure fleets to pivot their asset management strategies, we strongly believe fleets should stay the course and rely on proven data analytics-driven philosophies for life cycle asset management,” added Flynn. “Those fleets that take an active, disciplined approach to maintaining shorter life cycles will continue to lead the industry with the most advantageous Total Cost of Ownership despite disruptions to the system.”

About Fleet Advantage

Fleet Advantage has over $1.5 Billion of assets under its Life Cycle Cost Management (LCCM) program and serves America’s top corporate fleets. Fleet Advantage guarantees the absolute lowest cost of operation by providing fleet financing solutions with matching proprietary data driven IT processes and fleet analytics, using the latest equipment technology to achieve optimum vehicle productivity and maximum safety. Fleet Advantage Announces Two Additional Awards Earned to Finish 2021

Company Recognized for Top Women in Equipment Finance and Top Software and Technology Provider

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Fleet Advantage, a leading innovator in truck fleet business analytics, equipment financing, and life cycle cost management (LCCM) announced today that Senior Fleet Transaction Analyst and Project Manager, Jackie Jacobs, has been recognized as a recipient of Monitor’s 2021 Top Women in Equipment Finance award. The company has also received  Food Logistics 2021 Top Software & Technology Providers Award.

The Top Women in Equipment Finance Award recognizes women in leadership positions in the equipment finance industry, specifically looking at their exceptional qualities and achievements, not only during 2021, but throughout their entire careers.

Jacobs was recognized because of her crucial role in providing customers and bank partners with custom analytic reports to examine cost metrics and establish an optimal fleet modernization strategy, as many businesses in the equipment industry continue looking for ways to optimize financial structures on their fleets.

Since being promoted to her current role last February, Jacobs’s input and analysis of lease origination pricing, proposals, and presentations for multimillion-dollar truck equipment financing deals also helped client companies and their financial departments identify life cycle cost reductions, dormant equity in trucks, and opportunities to improve productivity.

“Jackie has been instrumental in operating and improving Fleet Advantage’s standard finance models and exemplifies our company’s flexibility in the ever-evolving transportation industry,” said John Rickette, CTP, CLFP, Vice President of Portfolio and Manager of the Transaction Management Team at Fleet Advantage. “Jackie’s hard work, dedication, commitment to excellence and leadership skills are on display daily and the entire Fleet Advantage team is so proud of her.”

The Top Software & Technology Providers Award recognizes software and technology providers that have ensured a safe, efficient, and reliable global cold food and beverage supply chain.

Fleet Advantage was recognized because of its innovative Sale-Leaseback program, in which a company can select the assets from their fleet that are older models and Fleet Advantage will purchase those assets and lease them back to the fleet for an interim period until they can then transition to new equipment when ready. This enabled organizations to generate cash in the nearest term and allowed for the rightsizing of fleets if an organization had a surplus of trucks. The program has a positive effect on the bottom-line P&L since the ensuing lease payment is lower than the current depreciation charge.

As a second major initiative and part of helping companies satisfy their ESG (Environmental Social Governance) goals, Fleet Advantage unveiled its pioneering Safety-First Program designed to reduce driver and motorist fatalities, accidents and injuries; while also helping protect fleet organizations against rising costs due to litigation, damages and vehicle repairs.

This year approximately 98 percent of all Fleet Advantage leased trucks included advanced Lane Departure technologies; 95 percent included Collision Avoidance; and 81 percent included Blindspot Assist. Furthermore, 82 percent of the company’s leased trucks included front disc brakes and rear disc brakes.??

“We are beyond proud to be recognized by Food Logistics as one of this year’s top software and technology providers,” said John Flynn, CEO of Fleet Advantage. “The transportation fleet industry has been working through much uncertainty and volatility this year, but our focus on fleet modernization has enabled clients to significantly increase overall productivity, reduce truck operating downtime, save millions of gallons of diesel fuel, decrease emissions, and lower cost-per-mile in maintenance and repair (M&R) expenses.”

Fleet Advantage Receives 2021 Green Supply Chain Award by Supply & Demand Chain Executive Magazine

Company Recognized for Pioneering Leadership Toward Environmental Stewardship and Helping Clients Achieve ESG Goals

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (December 17, 2021) – Fleet Advantage, a leading innovator in truck fleet business analytics, equipment financing, and life cycle cost management (LCCM) announced today it has been recognized as a recipient of the 2021 Green Supply Chain Award by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine. Recipients are featured in Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s December 2021 issue.

The Green Supply Chain Award recognizes companies that prioritize sustainability to be a core part of its supply chain strategy and are working to achieve measurable sustainability goals within their own operations and/or supply chains, in the areas of sourcing/procurement, fulfillment/logistics, operations, product lifecycle management and other areas of the supply chain.

Fleet Advantage was recognized for its Total Cost of Ownership model which promotes shorter life cycles and flexible finance options for clean diesel and safety-enhanced trucks. This helps customers reach their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals.  In total, Fleet Advantage has saved customers approximately $250 million and approximately 175,000 metric tons in emissions since inception.

Fleet Advantage pioneered a focus on environmental stewardship when it opened its doors in 2008, and today continues in this leadership role. While alternate forms of engines have been in the headlines recently, the use of newer, clean-diesel technologies remain the most financially and environmentally viable solution for Class-8 trucks for the foreseeable future. However, company experts continue to monitor any progression toward alternate fuel technologies and will support the best strategy for its clients, as long as it coincides with their appropriate LCCM plan.

Company leaders believe sustainability cuts across all aspects of a business, from energy consumption to procurement. To bolster the “can do” belief and attitude among its associates, Fleet Advantage believes it is important to educate associates about sustainability as well as to create systems and processes that make it easier for associates to integrate sustainability into their business decisions.

“Since the founding of Fleet Advantage, sustainability and environmental leadership have been two very important pillars of our company’s core values,” said Brian Antonellis, CTP, Senior Vice President, Fleet Operations for Fleet Advantage. “We’re proud to be recognized by industry observers and are excited our associates and clients are able to acknowledge the commitment we have in making a cleaner environment.”

Fleet Advantage Secures Ten College Education Savings Accounts for Organization that Helps Drivers and Families in Crisis

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL  – This year’s National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (#NTDAW21) took on a new meaning, as the pandemic and other economic changes have continued to add significant challenges for America’s truck driving community. As a way to show its ongoing appreciation, Fleet Advantage, a leading innovator in truck fleet business analytics, equipment financing, and life cycle cost management (LCCM) became an official sponsor of truckersfinalmile.org by making a donation through its Kids Around The Corner foundation.

The truckersfinalmile.org mission aims to reunite North American truck drivers and their families in times of crisis. Each year they collect donations and unwrapped gifts to help children that have lost a parent who’s a truck driver out on the road and helps them cope during the holiday season.

Through its Kids Around The Corner foundation, Fleet Advantage became an official sponsor of the program this year, and the contribution helps secure a total of ten (10) college education savings accounts through the program’s Sleigh Bells and Santa initiative. It is their annual campaign during the holidays to help children that experience a loss of a parent truck driver out on the road and away from home. Many of these children suddenly find themselves in a single-parent household where changes and sacrifices are needed.

“Having the support of Fleet Advantage is appreciated greatly by not only our organization, but by the families in the trucking industry that we will be able to assist through your generosity,” said Robert Palm, Founder/CEO of truckersfinalmile.org. “The onset of COVID-19 took away one of our primary opportunities for fundraising – conferences and events. As a result, we rely on community-minded companies like Fleet Advantage to help these families in their time of need.”

“Truck drivers are so important to our economy and the health of the overall nation, and the pandemic has brought about even more challenges for them to do their jobs each day,” said Elizabeth Gomez, Marketing and Business Development Coordinator for Fleet Advantage, and Chairperson for the Kids Around the Corner committee. “It’s important to keep goods flowing right now, but it’s just as important to offer care, assistance and the means for truck drivers’ families to remain close to one another. We are proud to sponsor such a powerful organization whose mission serves these families when they need help the most.”

Recognized annually, National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (#NTDAW21) ran September 12-18, 2021, where companies and organizations across the country showed their tribute, appreciation and support for the nation’s drivers and their families.

Fleet Advantage’s Ludmila Manin Wins Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s
2021 Women in Supply Chain Award

Manin Recognized for Accomplishments, Leadership and Mentorship in the Supply Chain Industry

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (September 17, 2021) – Fleet Advantage, a leading innovator in truck fleet business analytics, equipment financing, and life cycle cost management (LCCM) today announced Ludmila Manin, Remarketing Sales Associate, has been named a winner in Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s 2021 Women in Supply Chain Award. The award honors female supply chain leaders whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network.

Manin has been an influential, successful female professional in the transportation and supply chain industry for over six years. She plays a key role in the remarketing of used heavy-duty equipment into the marketplace through her extensive knowledge of customer service, banking, and outside sales. Manin has a proven record of exceeding forecasts and objectives using consultative and solution-based approaches. In an industry that is predominately led by men, the presence of women is even more sparse in sales-related roles such as Manin’s.

“Just this year, Fleet Advantage experienced its largest remarketing sales year yet, where Ludmila is the only woman on the team,” said Francis Maloney, Remarketing Sales Manager at Fleet Advantage. “In 2020, she was the top salesperson selling over $6.3 million dollars in off-lease equipment into the secondary marketplace – playing a direct and instrumental role in the financial integrity of our clients, which ultimately helped boost the global supply chain.”

Manin is passionate about educating the supply chain on remarketing strategies that can save organizations millions of dollars to their bottom line. Especially after a tumultuous past 18 months, she works to help supply chain leaders meet challenges with different remarketing sales tactics that help her customers better understand how to leverage their heavy-duty equipment and fleets. Manin hopes to set an example for women looking to get into the supply chain industry with both her continued leadership and mentorship.

Supply & Demand Chain Executive is the only publication covering the entire global supply chain. This year’s list of award recipients includes individuals from software and service providers, consultancies and academia, trucking and transportation firms, professional development agencies, sourcing and procurement divisions, and more.

“These women are just absolutely amazing in so many ways. They’ve re-tooled, re-innovated and revamped how the world sees the supply chain and logistics industry. They’ve paved the way for future female supply chain leaders to become a part of an industry that matters. Because women in the supply chain matter. And, some of these women are young, which means, they’re just getting started,” says Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Food Logistics. “I’m honored to recognize and celebrate the achievements of so many female supply chain leaders.”

Fleet Advantage Offering Complimentary Comparative Cost Analysis and Consultations

CLEVELAND (September 13, 2021) – Fleet Advantage, a leading innovator in truck fleet business analytics, equipment financing, and life cycle cost management (LCCM) is exhibiting at the American Trucking Association’s TMC Fall Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition in Cleveland from September 12-16. Fleet Advantage will be addressing fleet executives’ focus on driver retention, lowering emissions, and the increased need for more flexibility in truck lease structures.

As Fleet Advantage will illustrate at the TMC event in booth #7004, more fleet executives are leasing their trucks to shorten their life cycle and lower their Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). The company recently completed its annual benchmarking survey and found that 31% of fleet respondents are leasing their trucks, significantly up from last year when only 14% of fleet executives said they were leasing.

However, lease structure is a major area of concern for many as 28% of fleets are in an unbundled lease agreement and “see greater value on flexible fuel and maintenance costs”. This compares to 20% who say they are locked in a full-service lease with some saying they are “trying to escape the contract because of inflexible costs on fuel and maintenance”.  Additionally, 41% of fleet executives say the supply of new trucks and inventory challenges have altered their truck procurement plans due to lead times.

In addition to procurement strategies and lease structures, there are many challenges affecting transportation fleet operations. Visit Fleet Advantage at booth #7004 for a Complimentary Comparative Cost Analysis or a Consultation! Fleet Advantage’s certified truck professionals will be assisting fleets by offering solutions to both company-specific and industry-wide issues affecting daily operations.

“Flexibility and agility are important business strategies uncovered during 2020, and fleets that position themselves with the flexibility to adapt to changes in today’s business climate have a significant competitive advantage,” said Don Davis, Senior Vice President, National Accounts.
