Innovative new compact stacking door maximizes ceiling space

Mason, OH  –– Clopay® Corporation, a leader in closure products for commercial, residential, industrial, institutional, and retail applications, introduces the new VertiStack™ Clear Door, a unique compact door with vertically stacking sections, engineered to provide a clear, open ceiling and modern design. VertiStack Clear will be available in Clopay® Corporation’s Clopay, Cornell, and Cookson brands.

The door’s components take up minimal ceiling space, making room for mechanical, electrical, or plumbing fixtures, while the streamlined aesthetic brings the outside atmosphere in (and vice versa). Enabling building footprints to expand and encompass outside spaces makes VertiStack Clear a great choice for commercial establishments looking to embrace the natural environment, such as those in the hospitality industry, including restaurants, event venues, and more.

The product’s sleek look keeps lines and angles to a minimum and cleverly hides key mechanisms. “VertiStack Clear has no hinges or exposed tracks,” said Angela Quaglio, Product Manager, Clopay® Corporation. “The door is engineered to operate smoothly and quietly, so as not to disturb patrons while cycling. When open, the door’s sections can even be recessed into the ceiling, hiding them from view.”

Clear Choice for Energy Efficiency & Customization

Clear panels allow sunlight to fill interior spaces while the door is closed. To reduce air infiltration and keep building occupants comfortable, the door features built-in gaskets between the sections and a vinyl weather seal that clips into the guide channel. VertiStack Clear has been tested to ASTM E283 standards and meets the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC®) requirements for air infiltration, making the door an energy efficient choice.

Customizable to suit openings up to 14’ wide and 14’ tall, VertiStack Clear is available with glass, acrylic, or polycarbonate panels in tempered, frosted, insulated, and Low-E options in a variety of thickness from 1/8” to 5/8”. Specifiers may also choose from anodized finishes, including clear, black, bronze, and dark bronze, as well as paint finishes in chocolate, white, or bronze.

November 12, 2019 – Wayne Dalton, a leading manufacturer of residential and commercial door solutions, has launched its first-ever high speed, high performance interior freezer and cooler door – Model 887 ADV-Xtreme. Ideal for food and beverage and other cold storage applications, Model 887 ADV-Xtreme offers a variety of problem-solving features that help address various temperature-dependent site issues before they can occur. Additionally, Model 887 ADV-Xtreme helps prevent conductive or convective cooling loss across the door due to its advanced thermal barrier.

 

 

“The behavior around a door can change dramatically depending on the time of year, whether it is a hot and humid summer or cold and dry winter. It is critical for facilities to have a solution like Model 887 ADV-Xtreme to perform in demanding and time critical applications,” said Wayne Dalton Director of Product Marketing Mark Sawicki.

Model 887 ADV-Xtreme’s insulated curtain, four guide seals, and a double bottom seal help prevent condensation or frost spots from forming on the curtain. To help combat the issue of freezing temperatures affecting door movement, the door features an active recirculating heated guide. The patent-pending guide is designed to help ensure the entire height of the door is at an appropriate temperature to further help prevent condensation, minimize dirt collection and help stop contamination of products placed close to the door.

For design flexibility, curtain color options available include Red, White, Blue and Gray. The bottom bar and guide are manufactured in Safety Yellow.

Wayne Dalton, a leading manufacturer of residential and commercial door solutions, has launched the Model 600 HC, a high cycle rolling grille that offers the same safety and security of a standard rolling grille, but with a cycle life warranty that lasts 15 times longer. Thanks to its innovative springless barrel design, Model 600 HC eliminates the need for a counterbalance system, allowing for a 300,000-cycle life warranty without having to incur the cost of spring replacements. The grille can also be serviced with universal components for ease of maintenance and less downtime.
