Clopay® Corporation Introduces VertiStack™ Clear Door

Innovative new compact stacking door maximizes ceiling space
while providing clear aesthetics.

Mason, OH  –– Clopay® Corporation, a leader in closure products for commercial, residential, industrial, institutional, and retail applications, introduces the new VertiStack™ Clear Door, a unique compact door with vertically stacking sections, engineered to provide a clear, open ceiling and modern design. VertiStack Clear will be available in Clopay® Corporation’s Clopay, Cornell, and Cookson brands.

The door’s components take up minimal ceiling space, making room for mechanical, electrical, or plumbing fixtures, while the streamlined aesthetic brings the outside atmosphere in (and vice versa). Enabling building footprints to expand and encompass outside spaces makes VertiStack Clear a great choice for commercial establishments looking to embrace the natural environment, such as those in the hospitality industry, including restaurants, event venues, and more.

The product’s sleek look keeps lines and angles to a minimum and cleverly hides key mechanisms. “VertiStack Clear has no hinges or exposed tracks,” said Angela Quaglio, Product Manager, Clopay® Corporation. “The door is engineered to operate smoothly and quietly, so as not to disturb patrons while cycling. When open, the door’s sections can even be recessed into the ceiling, hiding them from view.”

Clear Choice for Energy Efficiency & Customization

Clear panels allow sunlight to fill interior spaces while the door is closed. To reduce air infiltration and keep building occupants comfortable, the door features built-in gaskets between the sections and a vinyl weather seal that clips into the guide channel. VertiStack Clear has been tested to ASTM E283 standards and meets the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC®) requirements for air infiltration, making the door an energy efficient choice.

Customizable to suit openings up to 14’ wide and 14’ tall, VertiStack Clear is available with glass, acrylic, or polycarbonate panels in tempered, frosted, insulated, and Low-E options in a variety of thickness from 1/8” to 5/8”. Specifiers may also choose from anodized finishes, including clear, black, bronze, and dark bronze, as well as paint finishes in chocolate, white, or bronze.

Alchemco Elevates Ed Easton to Director of Operations

– U.S. Army Veteran Promoted After Five Years with Leading Concrete Waterproofing Company –

HENRICO, Va., – Alchemco, a world leader in innovative and long-term concrete waterproofing systems, is proud to announce the promotion of Ed Easton to the role of Director of Operations. Easton has been with Alchemco for more than five years, previously serving as Director of Technical & Warranty, making him the ideal candidate to oversee the company’s high-level operational needs.

Easton’s new responsibilities include broad oversight and leadership of Alchemco’s manufacturing, inventory control, material purchasing, global shipping and logistics, vendor relations, quality control and safety protocols. The U.S. Army veteran was the clear frontrunner to lead the company’s operational needs based on his success in his previous role and natural leadership abilities.

“Ed brings an incredibly strong foundation to the role of Director of Operations, and we look forward to seeing how he helps elevate our company to the next level,” said Alchemco CEO Mario Baggio. “He possesses a wealth of insight and expertise in both our products and the industries we serve, and we’re confident he will help Alchemco achieve even greater efficiencies and heightened customer service in this new capacity.”

Originally developed more than 45 years ago, Alchemco’s unique technology has positioned the company as the dominant world leader in long-term concrete waterproofing systems that protect for decades … not years. Its products have been proven to help building owners avoid ongoing maintenance issues and structural problems typical of concrete structures, such as corrosion, spalling and carbonation. Compared to competing products, Alchemco’s waterproofing systems help owners save on application labor as well as the volume of materials needed to waterproof a structure, while offering long-term protection.

ALCHEMCO’S TECHCRETE 2500® WATERPROOFING AGENT EARN NOTICE OF APPROVAL FROM MIAMI-DADE COUNTY BUILDING DEPARTMENT

ALCHEMCO’S TECHCRETE 2500® WATERPROOFING AGENT EARN NOTICE OF APPROVAL FROM MIAMI-DADE COUNTY BUILDING DEPARTMENT

Richmond, VA – On May 13, 2021 Alchemco’s TechCrete 2500® Waterproofing Agent was granted a Notice of Approval from Miami-Dade County Building Department.

The Miami-Dade County’s Product Control Approval System is a renowned high standard testing that establishes an excellent protocol to assess building products. Further, the products are approved and designed to comply with the building code including the High Velocity Hurricane Zone which means that rigorous tests were carried out to determine the quality of the products before it can earn Notice of Approval.

As per Mario Baggio, CEO of Alchemco, “Receiving an NOA from Miami-Dade County Building Department is an achievement. They are known internationally for giving high standard processes and thorough assessments. It’s difficult to receive approval, that’s why we are very glad to be in partnership with Miami- Dade in providing prime services to our valued customers.” Alchemco is committed to provide a solution with a unique technology that has proven its waterproofing capabilities for over 40 years.

What makes Alchemco TechCrete 2500® Unique?

In early February of 2020, Alchemco’s TechCrete 2500® was voted as “Most Innovative Product during the World of Concrete Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. It marked one of the company’s achievements over the past 40 years of providing world-class service. What makes TechCrete 2500® different from other waterproofing products is its one-of-a-kind formula that penetrates below the surface of the concrete to create a continuous barrier against long-term water entry and enhances concrete durability. Alchemco’s TechCrete 2500® allows calcium silicate gel to form within the pores, cracks, and capillaries to continually reactivate barriers and seal future cracks for sustainable protection.

Moreover, TechCrete 2500® is easier and faster to apply than any traditional waterproofing products you can find in the market. It is designed to seal existing 2mm non-structural cracks watertight and seals future 0.4mm non-structural cracks. Thus, it is a cost-effective solution that protects the concrete through the highest level of performance.

TechCrete 2500® High-Class Performance Over 40 Years

Concretes have an impression to be the most durable and widely used construction material. Apparently, because of weather and traffic, concrete can deteriorate over time. However, Alchemco’s TechCrete 2500® is well-proven in delivering high-class performance around the globe throughout the years. It has been protecting a wide range of exposed concrete structures since 1975. Over the past 40 years, this product has been a great choice for clients who wants an affordable long-term solution to preserve, protect, and waterproof concrete.

About Alchemco

Alchemco is a full-line global manufacturer of products used to clean, repair, protect, and waterproof concrete & masonry structures. It became a world leader in concrete waterproofing systems through innovation, education, and professional implementation of its propriety waterproofing formula. With TechCrete products sold in 75 countries over the past 40+ years, Alchemco is relentless in improving its technology and manufacturing capabilities for the convenience of its clients.
