Circontrol will be present at the leading trade fair for the mobility sector that will be held in Amsterdam from the 20th to the 23rd of March

From the 20th to the 23rd of March will be held in Amsterdam a new edition of Intertraffic, the world leading trade fair about traffic and mobility. Circontrol will participate one year more to present its global solution for Efficient Parking (Hall 2 Stand 02.216), which is able to manage all the needs related to parking through the CirPark platform.

 

 

Intertraffic attendants visiting Circontrol’s stand will discover a solution for Efficient Parking composed of three families of products giving a response to all operators’ necessities in an integrated way: iPark, EVPark and LedPark.

 

From its first edition in 1972, Intertraffic has become the most important event for professionals related to infrastructures, traffic management, road safety, parking and intelligent mobility. Nedap is recognized with the Intertraffic Parking Solutions Award 2017 for its smart parking solution in the Turkish city of Izmir. During the ceremony at the start of Intertraffic Istanbul, Nedap’s SENSIT smart parking sensors received this prestigious award. In this project, SENSIT monitors the vehicle occupancy of individual parking spaces in the streets of Izmir. This results in improved parking guidance and efficient monitoring of all paid, time restricted and disabled parking zones.

As part of the cities’ large scale Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) implementation, that includes solutions to optimize traffic and transportation, 2.000 parking spaces are equipped with Nedap’s smart parking sensor system SENSIT. Thanks to this solution, the city of Izmir has found a smart way to reduce traffic congestion and to increase the utilization of existing parking spaces.

 

Integrated with the traffic management platform of Cross, the vehicle occupancy of individual parking spaces in the streets of Izmir is monitored by SENSIT. Based on real-time information, motorists are guided to available spaces easily. In addition all paid, time restricted and disabled parking zones can be monitored efficiently. The project was realized by the Czech companies Cross in a joined-venture with AZD Praha.

US Partners Visit Kiel and the DESIGNA Partner Workshop in Amsterdam

 

Four of Designa’s US Partners recently visited the DESIGNA headquarters in Kiel, Germany, to gain an overview of production activities and work processes at DESIGNA Verkehrsleittechnik GmbH.  Stefan Koch, DESIGNA CSO, informed them about the latest developments, innovation and trends in the industry, before accompanying them to the 7th DESIGNA Partner Workshop, held April 2nd through 4th in Amsterdam.

 

Tim Breuning, president of Light & Breuning Inc., a Designa U.S. Business Partner headquartered in Indiana, was one of the attending Partners.  “The Designa Partner Conference in Amsterdam was an excellent opportunity to affirm our confidence in the technological leadership evident in the product line,” explained Breuning. “We shared our knowledge with system integrators from six continents evidencing global resources going forward.”

This event, which directly preceded the Intertraffic trade show, was attended by more than 50 delegates from 20 different countries. The highlights of the workshop comprised DESIGNA’s new ABACUS- X18 feature and the “qinkk” parking app, as well as many other new products from the world of parking. There were also several accompanying activities, such as enjoying a tour of the Sünner brewery in Cologne, and a special Sunday dinner with DESIGNA on board a traditional Amsterdam houseboat.

International PARCS provider Scheidt  & Bachmann GmbH partnered with Women In Parking to host an introductory networking event on April 7, 2016 during the Intertraffic Amsterdam Conference and Expo. The event served to encourage discussions to establish a formal European Chapter of Women In Parking for the collective continent. Over 70 professionals attended the evening occasion which was held at the Scheidt & Bachmann conference booth.

 

“The platform provided by Scheidt & Bachmann was vital in bringing together parking organizations and Chief Officers to not miss opportunities to grow their own companies by ensuring that they tap in to  and recognize the women in their organizations who may and could enhance their businesses,” said Anjna Patel, past president of British Parking Association and Principal Officer of parking at Sandwell MBC in the United Kingdom.

Representatives from a variety of parking sectors including vendors, operators, consultants and public specialties participated in the event to learn more about the organization’s mission. A host of industry leaders were invited to speak at the event including Anjna Patel; Ashley Bijster, Managing Director of Imperial Civil Enforcement Solutions; and Laurence Bannerman, current president of European Parking Association.

“The response and turnout for the WIP European Event was amazing,” commented attendee Julie Dixon, President at Dixon Resources Unlimited and WIP member. “It was so rewarding to see how many of our colleagues enthusiastically attended to represent their support.”

The Women In Parking (WIP) organization was founded in the U.S. in 2011 to serve as the premier association dedicated to promoting the advancement and achievement of female parking professionals by providing networking, leadership, and career outreach opportunities to its members. For the past few years, Women In Parking has worked persistently to offer resources that all organizations within the industry can access and take full advantage of to improve and capitalize on a gender balanced workforce within their respective organizations.

It is the organization’s desire to see the same success with a European Chapter. SKIDATA AG honors Scheidt & Bachmann’s 50th Anniversary

 

SKIDATA made a surprise presentation to Scheidt & Bachman celebrating their 50th Anniversary in the parking industry during the Intertraffic trade fair. The Executive Board and Management Team from SKIDATA presented Scheidt & Bachman celebratory cakes customized with the S+B logo, parking equipment and SKIDTA’s mascot hummingbird “sweb” wishing them all the best.

 

“We have a very professional relationship with Scheidt & Bachmann. We challenge each other with the objective to improve our solutions. At the end the customers are the winners.” said Robert Weiskopf, CSO at SKIDATA.

Parking data analytics for better-decision making

Amsterdam, 4 April 2016 – Agendum will use Intertraffic Amsterdam to demonstrate how parking data analytics optimises parking enforcement and provides information for a sustainable parking policy. The company, a forerunner in digital parking enforcement solutions, has taken the enforcement process to a higher level as visitors to their stand will experience when they take a ‘virtual enforcement journey’.

 

As Agendum will highlight, the scanning of number plates by using mobile ANPR is only the first step in increasing the efficiency of parking enforcement. The company’s fast and smart SCANMAN platform, which has been successfully deployed and piloted in various European cities,  is required in order to gain real efficiency in the whole enforcement process, providing higher revenue at a reduced operational cost. A third step is the new Agendum business intelligence solution INFOMAN, the latest version of which will be unveiled at Intertraffic Amsterdam.

This web based reporting tool gives clear insight into the productivity and outcome of the enforcement process, the extent to which the objectives are being met and how further improvement can be achieved. INFOMAN enables team leaders and management and policy makers to make better decisions, based on extensive and detailed information on performance of the enforcement teams and on parking behaviour.

Agendum will demonstrate how INFOMAN can innovatively process and analyse data gathered from all kinds of parking related input sources, including scan cars, ground sensors and non-invasive sensors. The ‘virtual enforcement journey’ on the company’s stand will illustrate how smart data analysis enables further process improvement.
