Park Assist has been awarded the
Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Port of Miami
NEW YORK, NY – February 18th, 2019 Park Assist has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Port of Miami Cruise Terminal A. The new terminal was built to accommodate the over 5,500 Royal Caribbean passengers boarding the massive Oasis-class ships in Miami, FL. The addition of Park Assist’s patented camera-based system will guide visitors aboard in record time by offering a simple, enjoyable and efficient parking experience.
The client, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, chose the M4 system to fulfill its vision of blending appealing design with desirable functionality. Visitors will be guided to available spots with color-coded sensors. Upon returning to the port, cruise passengers will easily be able to locate their vehicle using Park Assist’s exclusive Park Finder application integrated with a Mobile API. Parkers simply enter their license plate number and Park Assist’s M4 system quickly searches the database to find the car’s exact location using License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology.
Parking management will also gain valuable controls over the garage with Park Alerts and Park SelectRate software products Park Alerts allows management to establish and enforce parking policies. The feature notifies operations of management of either license plate or time-based violations for individual parking bays. Park SelectRate allows management to easily designate spaces for variable parking rates, allowing for dynamic pricing strategies, without incurring additional expense. Park Assist’s M4 smart-sensors capture the vehicle ID and location data and transmit it to the garage’s parking accounting and revenue control system (PARCS) for the appropriate pricing for that space.
“Park Assist is honored to provide our M4 parking guidance system to Miami at Royal Caribbean’s innovative, state-of-the art facility uniquely designed to deliver an elevated customer experience and efficient operations,” said Vince Balsamo, General Manager of Park Assist, North America.”
